Even though people say we are like the “country of models”, we have a variety of body types and actually that fame of modeling can be hurtful sometimes, because most of the women here don’t relate to it, You know? Who are those models? Gisele bundchen? Alessandra Ambrósio? Most of us are nothing like them. We have more curves, we are shorter, have different hair types, everything. So, that’s the message Anitta is trying to spread when she says “let me tell you about a different rio, the one I’m from and not the one that you know”. She’s saying that she wants to talk about the real thing and not the one media is trying to portray us.

Talvez dependendo do estado que a pessoa more, mas onde eu moro não é tranquilo infelizmente. Eu nunca fui obesa, mas sempre um pouco acima do peso e minha vida inteira escutei de pessoas aleatórias e de pessoas próximas que eu tenho as pernas grossas demais, que preciso fechar a boca e emagrecer, que não podia usar biquíni ou short pq ninguém era obrigado a ver meu corpo. Esses comentários e outros muito piores me atormentam até hoje e eu sofro muito com a minha relação com a comida e com o meu corpo por causa disso.

@@isabelam5703 Sinto muito pelo que vc teve que ouvir, e torço pra que você consiga desenvolver uma relação saudavel e de amor com seu corpo com o tempo, ninguém deveria ter que passar por esse tipo de situação... A gente é cobrado e cria uma meta de corpo que muitas vezes é inalcançável pro nosso biotipo. É dificil se desprender desses padrões, mas eu torço pra que vc consiga e seja feliz com seu corpo saudável e mente feliz :)

This song starts with a beat from the Girl from Ipanema -a blonde blue-eyed girl - then she recreated a Girl from Rio which amplified instead of zooming to an area of predominantly white/caucasian/sun-kissed girls and boys. The people you all see is from the favelas in Rio de Janeiro, they are unprivileged, and she's doing something about it. She was born and raised in the favela, and she's got her significant power to do something social, like bringing up those people to global attention. That's not Girls from Ipanema or any south zone in Rio de Janeiro, but her voice is nice. I didn't know until I saw her in a Earth SOS video.
