Idk but during their prime Cueshe is like the Philippines’s Nickelback. Never a fan of them but good god they’ve grown. This rendition is way better than the original Stay. Love the heavier and more mature sound.

they we're hated because there is faction (or for the fans at least) between alternative rock bands in mid-late 90's (parokya ni edgar, rivermaya, eheads and the like) and the early 2000's alternative rock bands which are mostly referred as "POGI ROCK" that time (cueshe, hale, chicosci to mention a few), so yeah, but I dig Cueshe even those times tbh, saw em once live in mid 2000s. I'm glad OPM's culture is looking good now because there's no gate keeping of specific genre and there's no judgement of whoever you listen to, as long as it's good music and you're happy with it, then go. Don't get me wrong there are still a lot of dumbasses who acts elitist towards specific genres of music nowadays tho.

Cueshe is one of those early 2000's bands in the Philippines along with Hale and Orange&Lemons. Love their sounds. The original version of Stay is kind of slower than this rendition. Ruben (the one who sang the start of the song) is one of the 2 lead vocalist of the group

I was in highschool when STAY was released and boy... My classmates and I were jamming so hard.. hahah 1st year college, we didn't report to school instead we travel for 5 hours from uni for their band performance. Haha they had dinner with my classmate's rest house and we just barged in there 😂 Our families were shocked because they didn't know we came home without going to our houses 😂 I miss the old times.
