Yes they were singing many popular folklore musics from many provinces in Indonesia. Each song has different folk traditional languages & character from each province ( there’r 38 provinces in the whole Indonesia) It’s the same medley songs like in Wonderland Indonesia These song were learn in every Indonesian primary school. That’s what we Indonesian call as unity in diversity.

Amazingly, we have 733 regional languages. Do you know what they sing... I don't know the meaning because I am Javanese and have their own language. I believe the 3 girls were from different regions & sang songs from other regional languages.

All music and songs they sang are folk music from western to eastern region of Indonesia ... I think the video is one of some performances by Alffy and friends, and it's pretty common for the Indonesians to sing or jam together like this, doing a capella, making music, etc ... however Since all musicians in the video are professional, of course they can produce great music, harmonies, tecniques, etc ... As for those who are not professional - or just wanna have fun with music 'casually' - they might not as good as the video, bc they usually just 'use' music/singing as tool/media of togetherness ... hanging out with friends, having fun, laughing, chilling, then ... making music Indonesians are very communal ... singing and eating together are two common 'fun' activities usually the Indonesians do

Those are mix of our ethnic group songs (each region/ethnic has own song and music instument) such as "Bubuy Bulan is Sundanese song from West Java. That's uniqueness of Indonesia.

In fact, Novia, Lyodra, Tiara, Ziva, Mahalini and Keisya were the Indonesian Idol season 10. Lyodra was the winner, Tiara was in second place, Ziva was in third place, Mahalini was in fifth place, Novia was in 8th place and Keisya was in 12th place. You can imagine how fierce their competition was. you should watch that show, it's so amazing.

Indonesia have 38 province....more than 300 major tribes, to be specific 1.340 tribes. Each province have their own tradional dance, language & dialect, folk song & traditional instrument, traditional food-snack-drink, traditional outfit, tradition how they live, house style building, even have animal, fruit and plants that only can found in the specific place. We grew up by been teached at school or our sociaty...our variatives folk songs. We still keep our ancestral heritages. Our etnic & diversity tradition culture is pride of our country. even as indonesian, i am don't understand whole song, i understand just small part of the song. can you imagine if you live in country that 700+ language and each language almost completely different. but you still can communicate each others using bahasa indonesia. me, myself only understand 5 language and dialect. I think mostly indonesian is 3 lingual, at least they can understand/speak bahasa indonesia, ethnic language and english (study in school). we proud of indonesia, not every country in the world can be like us

Maybe you can watch the Disney film entitled 'Raya and the Last Dragon' which is a very strong combination of Southeast Asian culture. There is the culture of Indonesia, Malaysia and other Southeast Asian countries. but the story does not come from Indonesian folklore. I hope Disney can highlight one of Indonesia's folk tales.
