The 'leader' vibe you mentioned - as acknowledged by Khel and Bugoy (in interviews) and a camera man's vlog (for their *HEAVEN* cover) - Daryl does the assigning of who sings what portion and how to sing it (vocal arrangement, I suppose) and really pushes those harmonizing riffs and runs (as Katrina 'exasperatedly' posted on FB while she and Daryl were recording their *''MULI'* cover). Here are a couple of Daryl covers with those harmonies: (on Daryl Ong Official) - *'WEAK'* by SWV (with Kyla) - *BOYZ II MEN medley* (with himselves, haha) Btw, these three (plus Katrina) are popular to some degree in the Philippines but not as much as they should be. Sadly, the spotlight (and the build-up) on mainstream culture is usually given to those who have a built-in fanbase/audience from their acting forays even if they only have a fraction of the vocal skills these artists (BuDaKhel and company) have. I see that there are reductive comments re the amazing vocal talents because those comments are selectively-based. That's why youtube is a wonderful platform for these underrated artists - they show the artist's true range to whomever would care to view the videos.

She’s the Asia’s Songbird for a reason so she’s definitely a must check-out artist 👌🏼 (Trivia: She entered the entertainment industry via ‘Ang Bagong Kampion” (The New Champion) a singing competition where you need to defend your crown every week. She was trained by her father. She will be dipped in water at neck level and there she will vocalize and sing. Coming from a middle income family, she helped by winning price money from singing competitions. One of my favourite albums of her is R2K)

They're from one of the biggest (probably the biggest and leading network) tv station in the Philippines but was just recently closed down from franchise issues. Many of our greatest singers are in that network. They must be devastated, all those artists, staff, everyone-especially amidst this COVID crisis. They once had this show every Sunday called ASAP that had been running since 1995 (I checked), they probably had the chance to collaborate with every artist there is. The show showcased all the talents in singing and dancing. When I see KZ perform Rolling in the deep on Singer-I thought all her performances on ASAP paid of (though I think KZ already have such charisma the first time I saw her)--her command of the stage, how she engages the audience, the rapport with the musicians, how she's aware of camera, the blockings--she feels at home in a stage and performing, her nerves went out the window as soon as the music started.

The Philippines is recognized globally as one of the largest English-speaking nations with majority of its population having at least some degree of fluency in the language. English has always been one of the official languages of the Philippines. It is the language of commerce and law, as well as the primary medium of instruction in education. Many Asian countries used to go here to study English than in U.S., U.K. and Australia because the tuition here is cheaper compare to the countries that I mentioned. 😁

Yes.... the answer to ur question if they’re all from the same place. The Philippines is a very small country. It’s as big as California which is only one of the 50 states (province) in America. The music industry in the Philippines is primarily located in the city capital which is Manila. So, it’s a very small community where they are bound to bump into each other one time or another. Although, there are a lot of good singers from all over the Philippines, but to become famous or popular, or just to be known, you need to go to Manila to be exposed, show your talent and be heard.
