Atif Aslam is the singer of the highest caliber. The song Tajdar-e-haram is dedicated to the prophet Mohammed. The song is written by a poet called Hakim Mirza Madani born in 1553 and died in 1585 and was the second son of Mughal emperor Hamayun. This type of song is called "NAAT". Atif Aslam shows his class and vocal control and can be enjoyed by anyone who appreciates greatness.

@@dharangrana4902 Well I want to reply to you…… but all I can say is….. learn about him ( The prophet ) from truthful resources and not media or politicians and you will know whether he created terrorism or not…….. if you are talking about the Mughal emperor or his son, then i can’t comment on that…….. Why do you think he created terrorism? Like, can you tell me why you believe so……. Just bear in mind, if some people spread terrorism in his name, it doesn’t mean that he has taught to do so…… unless you have studied his life yourself and have strong points to believe what you believe, it is a dumb act to level such allegations

You've seen Atif in his spiritual mode here. One of my favourite performances by him is a ballad called Channa, also by Coke Studio. I think you'll enjoy that performance. It was the one year Coke Studio Pakistan tried an experimental format in that they had musicians in different countries playing various instruments remotely to the songs. It was such a cool idea. And you really see Atif carrying those musicians along just with the strength of his vocals. If you do watch that video, pay special attention to the expressions on the faces of the musicians. It's a treat to watch.

the muslims ruled Spain from the 8th to the 15th century, so its natural for Latin music to have some Arabic influence.
@athreephanx69563 жыл бұрын
Seriously don't you guys know that Muslims ruled Spain for over 700years. That's why so much similarity is between Spanish culture and middle east. Its Islam influence. That's why so many Latinos have muslim names.

It is Sufi songs of the Indian subcontinent, especially from Pakistan and Urdu language With Arabic and Persian influence, the emotional range required to sing this type of song including supplication and playfulness, anger and frustration and prayer. It's absolutely gorgeous and mind-blowing .

Atif Aslam is from Pakistan, and he also sing many songs in India...my favourite male singer...and I think you should check out some collaboration of Indian and Pakistani singers...like Atif Aslam and Shreya Ghoshal they sung a few songs together like Jeene Laga Hoon and Piya O Re Piya...and both songs are incredible...they created magics of their voice...

*MUSIC AND INSTRUMENT ORIGINS* just to be clear guys... this isnt arabic music its not from middle east (maybe be inspired) but its actually South Asian music from India and Pakistan. This is infact NOT a song but a QAWALI (often seen in sufi culture) the Lyrics have some arabic words and references to the religion Islam which is majorly practiced in middle east (and in India and Pakistan) however majority of the lyrics here are in Urdu language (hence why its sounds spiritual). the 3 instuments you wanted to know about are too entirely of indian origin at 1:53 is a *SAROD* (i think) its a string instrument (the sister of the indian instrument SITAR) It is known for a deep, weighty, introspective sound, in contrast with the sweet, overtone-rich texture of the sitar, with sympathetic strings that give it a resonant, reverberant quality. A fretless instrument, it can produce the continuous slides between notes known as meend (glissandi), which are important in Indian music. 2:05 is a *HARMONIUM*. It is like a smaller-sized organ that produces sound when foot-operated bellows sends wind through a pressure-equalizing air reservoir, causing metal reeds (fixed at one end, free at the other) to vibrate. at 8:43 is a TABLA. It is a pair of twin hand drums from the Indian subcontinent. Since the 18th century, tabla has been the principal percussion instrument in Hindustani classical music, where it may be played solo, as accompaniment with other instrument and vocals, and as a part of larger ensembles. Each drum is made of hollowed out wood, clay or metal. The smaller drum (daya) is used for creating treble and tonal sounds, while the primary function of the larger drum (bayan) is for producing bass. They are laced with hoops, thongs and wooden dowels on its sides. The dowels and hoops are used to tighten the tension of the membranes for tuning the drums. hope this was helpful. as an indian and muslim i'd appreciate if you'd educate yourself more on our culture and be able to distinguish it from others. thank you for reacting to this ❤️
