The song hind ka sitara at 1:33 is a sohar and is a folk tradition of bihar so every bhojpuri song is not cringe u have to find good ones but no one recommends them to u .. react to that song along with lyrics if u think lyrics are bad ... sohar are sung when a kid in bihar is born wishing him all the luck to have a great future .. similarly there are chathh songs even sonu nigam lata mangeshkar udit narayan and also some famous singers have sung in bhojpuri

I don't know if you will but please react to uttarakhand songs .Kumauni language is from uttarakhand but there are garhwali, jaunsari and other language songs as well. The music here is quite unique. My recommendation would be Pandavas channel. Jubin Nautiyal is from uttarakhand and he have some songs in those languages as well.

Hey Efra, checkout Uttarakhandi percussion with Pandavas band. They try to be original and modern with their folk music of Himalayas. Very pretty, rooted and authentic sounds of region. Percussion in Dhunyal song is so original. Its the same we listen in rituals here.

Actually the new singers like Pawan Singh, Khesari lal, Kallu and other youtube singers have made Bhojpuri cringe and vulgar just to get commercial hits and million views. You should check out old bhojpuri movie songs which are sung by singers like Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Mohammed Rafi. Then folk songs in Bhojpuri like 'Sohar", 'Birha', 'Dadra' and 'Dhobi Geet'. Bhojpuri also has lot of wedding songs(Geet) sung by Sharda Sinha for each ritual of wedding, then their are Chath Puja (Famous festival of Bihar) songs of Sharda Sinha in devotional category.

From my perspective the states in India where the general majority of people are daily wage earners and practically oppressed by the system and the state, regatone-ish and upbeat, on the floor music does well cause that's what helps people destress and dance when they're drunk. And on top of that is the lyrics are in your local language it obviously connects more and you feel represented. Not like the southern states doesn't have those issues but majorly because it's just what they grow up on and obviously everywhere there's good melodic music.
