Many people think that Papua is Papua New Guinea. The province of Papua is part of eastern Indonesia, whereas Papua New Guinea is not part of Indonesia. In this video it describes everything about Papua province as its custom shirt, local instrument, regional art, dance, sculpture, indigenous house, cendrawasih (Papua's protected bird), local song all uses Papua's local language and its natural beauty. The one who sang the song was all papuan artists. Location video making is in the Sentani and Sorong areas, Papua. We love Papua ❤️ 🇮🇩

Fact: Nowela is Papuan and was the winner of Indonesian Idol 2014 if I'm not mistaken. There are plenty of amazing singers from Papua and other part of Eastern Indonesian regencies. They mostly called as the Stars of the East. One of them Harvey Malaiholo even won the World International Song Festival in held in Tokyo in 1982 where Celine Dion and Brian Adam were also attended the competition.

Did you know that it is medley 2 folks song from Papua, "Sajojo" and "Apuse" , use Papua local language, like you know Indonesia have many diversity, many different culture, different language, different tribe, but we are one Indonesia. Nowela is the winner from Indonesia idol few years ago, and the Funky Papua is finalist from one of competition called Indonesia mencari bakat few years ago (like: Indonesia got talent), and edo the rapper, FYI eastern Indonesia famous for their rapper and dancer. Yeah you are right, Alffy Rev combine or mix the tradition or culture with modern EDM to make Indonesia young generation more interested with the culture again.

Sorry, as I've known, but CMIIW, this video was made by Alffy without planning. Yes, at first he went to Papua for performing in PON Exhibiton, but when he arrived in that land of papua, he realised that he loves this land so much, the culture is so rich. And as the most eastern part of Indonesia, where its quite different with the most of other province in Indonesia. Then he planned to make a video to raise up this Papua. The video was only made in about 12days. From start to the time of video released. 🙏

Don't be surprised with lots of cross here and there in Papua. Majority of native Papuans are predominately Christians. The religion itself were introduced to the region by Dutch during colonial era.

The lyrics of the whole song is in Papua language. The rap part using 3 languages: Indonesian, Papuan & English. Indonesia is the largest trilingual country in the world. They speak in: 1. Local language/mother tongue (based on their tribes). Indonesia has over 300 ethnic groups/tribes & 718 local languages. 2. Indonesian language/Bahasa Indonesia (national language). I think the best way to explore all aspects of Indonesia in one video is to watch "Opening Ceremony of ASIAN Games 2018" Indonesia is the host for the 2018 Asian games. I think this is the biggest opening ceremony. The original event/video is 2 hours long. Here you can see the history of Indonesia, the president of Indonesia, the city of Jakarta, the land in Indonesia, traditional songs, traditional dances, traditional languages, traditional clothes from various ethnic groups in Indonesia, Indonesian legend athletes, singers/artists from Indonesia (btw there are Cakra Khan, Raisa, Tulus, Rosa people you already know) this opening ceremony contained all of these aspects in one stage. if you think 2 hours is too long you can watch "cuplikan kemeriahan Asian Games Opening Ceremony 2018" this is the short version/Snippets.

I'm from Indonesia. Papua is a beautiful island. The island is very far from the capital city (Jakarta) but it's actually really rich of cultures, natural resources, etc. It even has a mountain with snows despite our country being in the equator line that makes us living in a tropical country. Our government wants to change that and that's why we are moving the capital city more to the central part of Indonesia so islands like Papua will get the development that they deserve. We are introducing Papua to the world basically. Papua is also made as the home land for the National Sport Week in Indonesia this year. I acually really like Papua's local songs, like the one you heard here were Sajojo and Apuse. Yiu already heard Javanese element in Lathi. But even if I'm a Javanese, maybe since I'm exposed to Javanese songs, I like Papua's songs more. Their songs are just like a marching band or something. They have more upbeat tempo which makes it suitable to be combined with EDM

Waah i love this😆😆 I was born at Timika, Papua and lives there for 9 years, i really love living there.. i'm so proud i've born and lives my childhood there even though i'm Butonese ( tribe from South east Sulawesi/another island) and not Papuan but still.. Living there was really good experience, idk what to say cause there's so much good thing there(food, people, beach, lake etc).. and i hope i can go there again someday.. Funfact abt Papua/ east part of Indonesia: *Btw Indonesia is divided into three parts, there's west, middle and east and each part has one hour different. Most of people from East part speak faster than people from other part in Indonesia and for me rapper and singer from there is better than other, maybe cause i love the language too😆 Thank you for your reaction 🙏
