Hey 😀
In this video we, as in Johannes, is showing me Jonathan how to throw uphill and downhill in disc golf. One of them is fun. And one of them is uphill. Hope you´ll enjoy the video.
Have a great day and also buy a lot of our stuff :)

Another point for throwing up hill: if the hill is very steep you can end in a situation where you have terrible footing. So in some cases stand still is mandatory and that should also affect the disc selection. Another shot I've had success with is a forehand roller, given the terrain calls for it of course.

Great video guys, don't forget to mention the effect of gravity in these situations. throwing uphill against gravity will slow the disc more, throwing downhill gravity might actually accelerate the disc causing it to appear understable

Love it. I do feel like you needed to mention the whole part of your footwork and timing is going to be way off. If your run/walk up is up hill your plant foot is going to hit the ground earlier then your use to and your throw will want to come out early and opposite for downhill.

I followed your advice. I skipped all uphill holes and my score got better. Thanks
@jeffreydheere4737
@jeffreydheere4737 2 жыл бұрын
The one thing that stands out to me to question is that when throwing uphill, you 'hopefully' are keeping the nose angle down. The disc (and your hands) path is still a straight line with the nose of the disc angled down relative to that path. The path just starts at a lower point and ends higher. If you get the nose up relative to that pull path, you'll get a floating and stalling flight rather than a drilling fast flight, but going uphill.
@davelopez9161
@davelopez9161 2 жыл бұрын
In fact, one video I watched said that to get the nose down, start lower on your backswing. I have a very short hole that is down hill with a low ceiling. On this hole I start high on my backswing and try to "air skip" the disc under the branches. The high backswing gets the nose up.

My home course has a lot of uphill shots with tree lines on the sides, so you really have to be able to land in a small area on the hill or at the top of the hill. I've found myself reaching for something stable or even slightly overstable (buzzz or roc3) but throwing it very hard on anhyzer. It fights out of the anhyzer by the time it crests the hill and lands fairly flat. Not ideal for uphill distance, but seems better for uphill precision.

Hi Team Jonathan64 :) You make videos with a very nice vibe. These are all exactly what discgolf friends feel, talk about and share with each other. Helping each other with juicy humor and celebrating in heart but showing off bitter when someone is doing something great :P You are very welcome to visit our Estonian parks :) ok but now for the important thing - I also make videos on my YT channel just to learn new parks etc. I noticed you are using a drone. Have you tried to chase a disc with a drone during a throw? Can its "follow the object" function automatically respond to the rapid movement of a disk, or does someone always have to operate the drone manually to follow the drive from some distance. How does it behave in the forest? You are doing the right thing and I wish you happy moments in discgolf and everyday activities! Big up :)
