NRL players are so much faster than NFL players. they are more fit, more tough and a heck of a lot smarter. The NFL stands for "not for long" and these guys in the NRL are so tough and fit that some of them play for up to 15 or 16 years and a few players are getting close to 17 year careers before they will have to retire. the fastest NFL player in history runs 110 yards (100 metres in 10.66 seconds and the fastest Rugby player in the world runs 110 yards (100 metres) in 10.13 seconds. The current fastest player in the Australian Rugby league (Josh Addo Carr) runs 37.8 km's per hour (23.48 miles per hour) and The fastest NFL defensive play was made by Vikings cornerback Xavier Rhodes, who reached 22.4 miles (36 km's/h ) an hour on a 100-yard run (remember that 100 yards in only 91 metres) sorry to say but rugby league and rugby union players are quicker and a lot more fit, not to mention our Rugby players wear no helmet and no shoulder pads. they just wear shorts, a jersey, socks and boots and the occasional player will wear a mouth guard.

The QB position is the toughest position in all of sports. Memorising the entire playbook, picking the right play to run, getting every player set in position, knowing the routes of your RB, FB, WR, TE etc on all those plays, reading defensive coverage pre-play and during the play, making adjustments during the play, having great peripheral vision, throwing under pressure, getting the right height and velocity on a throw in a tight coverage, throwing the ball exactly where it is needed at the right time and so on. All of that is done simultaneously. You have to be incredibly smart, incredibly patient, incredibly flexible, an incredible athlete, and have an incredible memory to do what a QB does. No one in the NRL comes close to a QB.

A fullback shouldnt ever be fended off by a halfback half his size. I could understand a halfback stepping him, or outpacing him but being over powered by a player who's in a position that requires the least amount of strength in the side is laughable.

I've never disliked him but was always amazed how he managed to stay in top grade for so long when I never really seen him perform ever. Just like Peter Wallace never seen him create anything or stand out in anyway yet Broncos had him as their halfback for years. Coaches must see something us fans dont but for me people in roles like FB or HB have to be skillful and not necessarily wow us every game but need to perform, Boyd and Wallace are great examples of players who really shouldn't be in the league. Only time Boyd ever played ok was in early days of his career in state of origin.
