I think the best part of the interviews with the queens who’ve been in the mainstream for a while is that you can tell they’ve gotten accustomed to the questions they expect to get, so Maddy’s deep cuts catch them especially off guard. I feel like I’ve learned more about Latrice from this interview than every episode of Drag Race she’s been on, it’s so good.
@heytinatina Жыл бұрын
Exactly! It must be refreshing for the queens to be interviewed by someone who has clearly done her homework. It shows there was serious time and effort put in. And then to pair that with some wit and humor. The guests never saw Maddy coming!

Listening to Latrice describe how she was treated by society after her time is prison is SO important. All our talk of “debt to society” and “rehab” means nothing if that same society makes it next to impossible for a person to get even the crappiest of jobs to take care of themselves. I think I was always aware of this sad situation, but hearing from someone who DID manage to recover, the story is much more impactful.

Latrice (who has been my alarm tone for years...jesus is a biscuit!) is Miss Congeniality, so you rarely get to see her visually dislike someone, but when she really likes a person, she lights up. It makes me so happy.

Girl!!! The increaaaase of the quality in this show is WILD! The sound, the editing. Maddy you are doing what needed to be done. Love you from Brazil, come to us vagabunda!

Maddy is such a wonderful interviewer. Watching Latrice GAG at those photos stirred up something deep inside me. I started watching drag race during her season so she's a fundamental part of my upbringing. You are so talented in revealing the birth of such talented queens. Thank you for your research and preparedness, it both magnifies and humanizes even legends!

That was probably one of my favorite episodes so far. Maddy keeps getting better with each interview. I laughed through the whole thing.

Latrice may be the soundbite machine, but I'm gonna have "every song is a park-and-bark if you believe in yourself" in my head forever.

God I love Latrice so much. Maddy is always so charming & great with guests, but this dynamic between y’all two is perfect. Two queens who just wanna read, have fun & relate to others. I love it.

Rupauls Dragrace introduced me to Maddy and her heterosexual journey with drag. But her show Give It To Me Straight that's when I fell in love with her! I'm so happy for Maddy and her acceptance from the other queens. Her makeup and garments have really become more polished. I support you, baby, and watch your show religiously. ❤❤

Maddy you're such a good interviewer and I hope you stick with the clear hard work and dedication you put into each interview (assuming it's sustainable for you of course). There's no other avenue to get to know these queens better and highlight their character and delightfully human qualities in a way a highly edited reality TV show could never do.

Sponsors take note, don't even usually wear cologne but just subscribed to Scentbird. Give Maddy her flowers and her money.
