This "soul food" is nothing but a variety of food taken from different cultures. This is why everyone definition is the same when describing it. "It come from love. It's talent. It's good for the soul." Meaningless! If this "soul food" is so creative, why haven't other cultures adopted this style of cooking? Different cultures have adopted Mexican, Asian, and Italian cuisine. You can't stake you claim on meat, vegetables, and barbecue as a culture. This is from being jealous of others and having an identity crisis.
