I first started loving Crutaean's as a Bay Area baby at their original San Francisco spot. Now I go to Beverly Hills every year on my birthday. They do NOT miss. They are fire. And you are right. It is actually somebody's mama in the secret family kitchen. Her name is Mama Ahn, and she feeds me well every visit. Hope you get to meet her. The restaurant has incredible family history!

I'm a new LA resident. Crustacean is my next dinner experience, thanks to you!!!! My suggestion for a restaurant for you to visit is Vespertine. Folks are saying that it is one of LA's most innovative restaurants. Also, it has 2 Michelin stars! Very pricy. That will be one of my stops. New York's Marea is opening a restaurant in LA soon. I had the best meal of my life at Marea. Keep the reviews coming. So entertaining and informative 😊

Crustacean is a SF original, but they cleanin up in Beverly Hills! You missed the shell is your garlic noodle crab bowl you suppose to mix the crab with the noodles and eat it out the shell.
