To mark the occasion, the city of Riga put up giant screens in the center of Riga's Old Town and the atmosphere was terrific.
We get right in the middle of it and it is an experience I will never forget.
We meet the locals that are feeling proud and ready to party.
Hockey is the number one sport in Latvia, and this is a huge deal, watch to see how this made Riga an even greater city than it already is.

I was very surprised to see how well Latvia was doing in the championship this year. I always keep checking the scores etc every year, but hadn’t watched a game for so long. I used to follow this championship so passionately when living in Riga. I’m so happy this year that they got bronze. So well deserved! Ice hockey for Latvia is what football is to England. 🎉🥳
