It’s not really that, just that most of modern music has come away from orchestra and concert band settings along with focusing more on the vocal aspect. So while yes she can play and sing very well, and I for one love it. Laufey sings and lives in a music genre that’s much different than what we have now, or at least what’s currently popular and mainstream. Musical talents come in different forms. Laufey has hers and others theirs. Plenty of good sounds and songs in other genres both today and back then.

@@robinkisuma I kinda get that. Sadly what my ex did to me was pretty fucked up to lead to the most (in my case) stained memory of breaking up and being told it was me that’s why we broke up. And as always it isn’t just a point to the finger which ran deeper than how she put it but thinking about it makes me really mad and upset and even now I’m crying because of how she talked of me. Though in a way I don’t care what she does, I just wish her to not talk to me and find her own love. She’s good enough to have it, I just don’t want it. But I hope you get over it, and I hope it didn’t end as mine did. Your heart seems very well I hope you find someone good for you too or to get better. You deserve love :)

Asked her out and confessed to her and she didn't feel the same way. There's way more to this story but I have been in love with this girl for 4 years and it all came crashing down today. This song reminds me of her and I know this song will keep reminding me of today even in the future. It'll be a while til i can ever move on from the love of my life but it is what it is. Tears are streaming down my face but I don't feel hate, regret or fear towards her. I'll look back on this day as a major learning lesson in my life and the day I lost the love of my life. I discovered Laufey a few days ago and I broke down while listening to this song today. As a guy, I don't really express my negative emotions and find it hard because I know better and I shoudn't wallow in self pity. But this song reminds me of how I should set her free from my mind and simply wish her love. To whoever is reading this, I hope you never go through this emotion of hurt and pain, and I hope you find love. But if you're currently experiencing this feeling, remember that everything happens for a purpose and we must slowly learn to love them a little less, day by day, in order to truly move on and find someone that will appreciate you back.
