Aghhh I know how it feels. I’ve liked this guy for YEARS and have had to be his comfort friend for a while. Ive helped him through so many breakups and everything. The worst part is as a gay man I assumed he didn’t like guys at all but my heart STILL refused to move on. Later he told me he did and that he had found “the guy”. It hurts me so much that it wasn’t me. They broke up recently and I don’t really know how to feel. Being an old dude, this music reminds me of the easy listening jazz of the 60's. A bit like a cross between 'lounge music' and 'Girl from Ipanema'. This is so lovely and sad at the same time. Brazilians love bossa nova but no one creates it anymore, it takes people from other countries to create masterpieces so we can relive my childhood feelings of listening to a fresh bossa nova - piada nao intencional. I’m so glad I discovered Laufey’s music through KZbin and not TikTok. She is such a talented singer-songwriter and musician! Her voice is so soothing and beautiful. This song is one of my favorites... Such a sweet and honest confession of unrequited love, and the music video is so creative and whimsical! I love how she plays different instruments and dances with her own shadow. She deserves more recognition and support for her amazing work. Laufey, you are a star!
