In BW2, if you link your game with the same account you linked BW1, you get access to special pieces of character development, one being about the Trio badge. They where insecure about their strength, so they get depressed and don't go since they "would slow down the other gym leaders". Then, the Shadow Trio from N comes and bet them in a 3v3. With this definitive loss, they closed the gym and it's now just a restaurant.

TTar, im pretty sure the reason people want the DLC to be free is that the original game doesn't have enough content to be worth its price. adding a paid DLC doesn't make it better since the price raises with the content and the game still ends up not having enough content to warrant its price. essentially, they're saying "if you want the full game, pay more". a DLC is supposed to be a bonus and not a requirement, and pokemon isn't the only franchise to make that mistake. even if the game is already out and making a paid DLC is the only way they can expand it, that doesn't really make the situation any better.

Cynthia could make a nice surprise in the DLC when investigating either the Galor form of the legendary birds or the new Regi forms since both the birds appear in platinum and Regigigas is also tied to the Sinnoh region. All apart from 1 pokemon from her team will also be available with the DLC since its adding Garchomp just needs a replacement for Spiritomb

Cynthia having a Mega Garchomp would ironically make her easier because Garchomp Mega does absolutely nothing for her team. Mega Garchomp is really only useable in Sand Teams because of it's Ability plus that speed lose makes it easier to take down.

There is an actual reason that they didn’t show up to fight N, in Black and White 2 using the adventure sync thing they say they don’t feel like they are enough, and only reason they are strong is because they are together. So they split up and train by themselves to become stronger.

Regi ruins exist here and her focus was ruins, why would there be Garchomp from the tundra, and it would be a good tie-in for remakes so once a power spot appears in Sinnoh (I don't think they'd put it in the main story) someone is more aware of it. Either give us megas or no gimmick until postgame.

I actually really liked Piers as a character and then the rivals this gen were pretty good too. I like Opal too but only cause she is off the deep end. Also if it makes you feel better I got Eternally stuck between Victory Road and the E4 battles with no money in Emerald cause I had only HM moves and then the next playthrough after I gave up that one I got lost for essenrially 6 hours interrupted (over the course of 3 days) cause I refused to use flash. Also I actually kinda liked that Archie and Maxie are down to earth and turned over a new leaf cause they never seemed like that bad of people throughout the games just terribly misguided. Cyrus though as bad ass as he is I expected to have a reaction more like Lusanine Ghetsis and them but like calmer.

Between the base $60 cost, the DLC, and Home, Sword and Shield are one of the least rewarding purchases in relation to cost of purchase compared to what is actually in the product you are paying for in the entirety of Nintendo's selection of games. Since Pokemon is marketed at kids, that makes these kind of price hikes seem extremely predatory. The content in Crown and Armor should have already been in Sword and Shield, but Gamefreak wanted to make that 2019 holiday season time crunch!
