I think the way it works is, life orb gives moves the secondary effect of buff atk and lower hp. And since sheer force nullifies moves' effects, the life orb effects get nullified

Still do not understand why he has respin when he does so anyway if he lands on the same pokemon in his team. If respin was supposed to be bad it should then respin all current pokemon he has so it makes sense why he doesn't remove pokemon he gained off the wheel.
