It was 1983 in Portsmouth when he appeared at Granny’s club at the top of the Tricorn multi-storey car park. Only two people showed up and one was deaf. My van broke down halfway up the ramp and I arrived covered in black grease. The deaf lady complained about a whistle in her hearing aid. But It was my cheap microphone with a very short lead that was whistling and Duncan somehow made the gig work. He found the whole thing so funny. He actually took me to the manager and made him pay me my £50.

I remember all these on sky1 years ago I taped a lad called Johnny Green he was hilarious but my mate got this off me as you know never seen since love it you had him but great catching up with ones done

Talking about his failed pilot for what became Blind Date Duncan sounded like a deep yorkshire accent. Bobby davro called him the plumber cause after a show him & a girl were in a shower & they flooded the place.!
