I saw Duncan as a support act to Ricky Tomlinson at Dudley Town Hall many years ago and can honestly say that he was one of the funniest comedians I have ever seen, His timing was brilliant, his jokes were clean cut though saucy and the whole audience were in a constant uproar throughout his appearance. He was absolutely brilliant. The bit that I still laugh at was he asked for a member of the audience to take stage and participate in part of his act and this girl volunteered her boyfriend who after standing up looked a bit apprehensive. He was right to be ! Duncan took him by the hand from his seat and made him skip with him up to the stage to the tune of Teddy Bears Pic-nic ! The poor guy looked so embarased but worse, they stopped half way and turning back to the audience Duncan looks at him and says " Oooh youre keen arent you ? " The roar of laughter could be heard all across Dudley Im sure !!

What do you mean ‘clean-cut though saucy’? It sounds like they were filth and that’s not acceptable.

met him at a show in Jersey in the 80s had me and my friend sit at the table with him and the showgirls. The next morning in my hotel room i woke up to a knocking on the door to find him and the showgirls standing outside my room and was expecting me to go for a run with them.

He was pals with the bloke that ran Podders' scrapyard in Woodborough Nottingham. So when I had finished crawling over cars on a Sunday morning in the 1980s I used to sometimes meet him in the office when paying for the bits. He was a great bloke and actually funnier in real life. Always had some attractive woman with him.

I saw him at The Place in Hanley years ago, my mate and I were sat in the front row with our girlfriends. He was doing his “chase me” and “ooh, form a circle” routine when he twigged that I might be taking the piss, so he reached down and grabbed the pack of ciggies on the table in front of me, and started dishing them out to the audience. When he returned with the empty packet he held out the microphone and said “there you are, what do you think of that?” “Not much,” I said, pointing to my mate sitting nearby. “They’re his.” I got more laughs than him, and he didn’t come near us again.

@@justinneill5003 And yet you deemed it necessary to share your limp story with the world, just to show your comedic talents. You got more laughs than he did….once. Bully for you. @@suttercane6 I take it you weren't born in the 80s. I remember this man very well; apparently he was the original presenter of Blind Date before he was replaced because LWT couldn't take a risk with a 'gay' presenter, yet it worked well with Larry Grayson. If you see Duncan now, you'll find it hard to believe he's the same person because not only does he look different, he talks differently too. He faked being gay for popularity (I nearly had a heart attack when I heard he was actually straight), that's what people found offensive.
