Launceston Steam Railway September 2023

I visited the Launceston Steam Railway whilst on holiday in North Cornwall. A very interesting narrow gauge railway that operates with restored Victorian steam locomotives and coaches. It runs between Launceston and New Mills (where there is a Farm Park). Well worth a visit but note that it only runs on certain days and the gates don't open until 30 mins before the scheduled departure of the first train. Nice café and friendly, knowledgeable staff.
I have seen a model layout of this railway by Richard Holder; most recently at FEBEX 2023. I have often wondered how he was able to model the railway so accurately. I found out on this visit because he was there!
See if you can spot the deer that runs across the track in front of the loco. I didn't see it at the time; only whilst I was editing this video. It happens at about 4:25.

Thanks for watching. I don't think that the young lady is cleared to operate the loco when it is attached to the passenger coaches. She certainly knows how to drive the loco, though. The railway is well worth a visit.

@@KeithTucker45 I saw her drive the Red Dragon on their last open day this year 2023. I had a ride on the footplate many years ago
