Launch day Ps5 won't turn on! *FIXED*

Powers up with blue light then shuts down immediately - any help or advice would be appreciated!
UPDATE - I took the plug out and left it overnight, booted up straight away the next morning 👍 Fingers crossed no further issues!

The answer to this everyone is if it’ll do what his is and goes right back off it’s not the darn controller needing to be paired some of these psn’s are having problems, but the answer is you gotta just keep plugging it in somewhere else and waiting clicking the button like u gotta wait hours then randomly it’ll turn on but turn right back off but when it flashes at first when it lets u turn it on hold down the button and on the screen it’ll ask u if you wanna reset it and do that and it should fix it but mine does it all the time and at first it was whenever I unplugged it and transported it somewhere else but now when I turn it off it does it sometimes and it realllly sucks cause it can go days without working I needa just send it back to psn, they have lifetime warrantys

My ps5 did this when I tried to restart my ps5.. it did turn off but didn't want to turn back on.. I unplugged the power cord for a few seconds plugged it back in worked perfectly fine after.

When the controller flashes like that, that means that the HDMI cord is not in the right slot or not plugged in all the way

It does not come already paired, thats why it turned when u pressed the button but not when u plugged in the controller. You pair them right after the console starts up for the 1st time.

You're supposed to turn on the ps5 first then use a cable to connect the ps5 to the controller and then press the playstation button to connect it to the ps5. An unconnected controller wont turn on the ps5. This is the same thing with the ps4 c'mon man

I can help you with that go to safe mode which is turning off the console completely hold the PS5 turn on button until it does two beeps connect your console with a a charger because it needs it and press the PS button on your controller so you can see everything go to change video output and change hdcp it should show up hdcp 1.4 only as soon as you press it the PS5 will restart an hdcp will be used press okay it should restart your console it should work it actually should work 100%

I have the same problem. 1 beep, blue light on, fan running but shut down after 1 second. Try to unplug and plug the power cord so many time, also switch the power outlet but no work. Called a repair shop and the guy told that will cost almost 400 to fix the ps5 cause of motherboard damage. Almost give up the console but 1 random press the power button and the ps5 start up again like it has no problem before.😂😂😂

@Eddy-Mazz i guess it must be the power supply problem. Every time i try to turn it on by press the power button on the console, it turn on for a second sometime longer, but shutdown right after. My ps5 got mess up right after the power outage hit my house, so i guess it has something to do with the power supply.

@Eddy-Mazz by the time i replied to your message, it happened again. All i try to do is keep pressing the power button on the console and hopefully for it to be on. Every time it turn off, press the button again and wait for 10 second then press 1 more time to boost the system. Keep doing that until the blue light stay on. It will take time so be patient

It has something to do with the mother board. I was playing and out of no where my screen froze. I unplugged it and plugged it back in because the power button wasn’t responding. I tried turning it on again and it was doing exactly what the video shows. I took it to two different console repair shops and both of them said they cannot fix it because the mother board isn’t receiving enough power. I just delivered my ps5 to Sony so now I have to wait 15 days. Hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

Hold the PlayStation Button and it will turn on low it will only turn off if you had it on for too long and it needs to cool off

@@swiyy_8555 I do try and turn it on with the my pad first then the power button on the ps5 and it always beeps but dosnt come on so I hit the eject button and it pops the disc out and turns the PS5 on. You could turn all other Playstation consoles on by the eject button so why wouldnit be a problem for the PS5?
