I'm going for Mite personally. Mite is great especially if you are a fan of Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch for PS3. He's your starter familiar on there too, and i pre-ordered the special edition which came with Golden Mite and a few other Golden familiars.

Whoa, i'm lucky. After free 3 re-rols from the new player special, I got Mite, then after collecting free summon tickets from here and there, I got Hippocampus (Sea Drake) and the Hog Goblin on the same pull. Bless you RNGoddess

Thank you for this video! It's helpful! Been playing from two days post launch and I had no idea who was worth investing for familiars. As an F2P I think I got super lucky, I have 5 of the familiars on your SS tier list. In order of getting them I have Ouroboros, Sea Drake (twice, I awakened them), Sling, Mite, and Plessie. Others I have also gotten are Flutterby and Kokou. Perhaps a familiar guide for three stars on who to invest on if you lack the 4 stars would be welcomed for F2P players. Keep up the videos! I'll be sure to check out your other videos for sure! =)

Great video as always and I would love to see a video on familiar/class combinations. As an Engineer who wants to be the best healer possible i think my familiar choices will be much different then someone wanting to focus on dealing maximum damage. I am also not sure if starting out it would be better to have multiple strong 4*s of different elements or try to build a specific element team implementing lower tier familiars. Really appreciate all the work you have put in to introduce this game to new players.

I believe because of the RNG system.. these first releases familiar is the "Easiest" to upgrade and max it. since the RNG will only go around these few familiar. once a lot of them is added it will be hard to get them.

Another awesome video. Happy to be along for the ride to learn. Something I don’t understand though is how elements work. Some skills are a specific element and others are not so are skills element specific or is your element tied to your weapon and familiar? I also saw a skill I think belongs to the swords man that infuses the sword with light but also boosts other elemental damage and that left me more confused. Hopefully you can explain this for me either in a video or a quick comment. Thanks for your work so far.

Your base 3 abilities change based on your weapons. Your 3 optional abilities have tied elements!

Good videos so far, I'm new to the game series and want to ask maybe for a class & familiar combo video for both PVE & PVP. also a section describing the elements and how they work against each other. and how many familiars you can have with you fighting at a time. I definitely wouldn't say it's a typical mobile gacha - it does have infinite grind but also there's lots of fun manual content. I see burnt-out players saying it's all the same, but if you enjoy the game, there's a LOT to do.

I mean...You don't have to. If someone does it every day more than you...then I guess they will be stronger? But there will be thousands of players - some are ought to be stronger and some are ought to be weaker after all. It's an open-leveling MMORPG so yes the more time you spend obviously you are rewarded. Also that only really matters in PvP.
