Students from Teach the Future on the importance of this project
Author, activist, and entrepreneur Cindy Forde (keynote)
Academics leading our 'tracked changes' subject reviews and how they have completed these
A teacher on how the project can help their practice and on embedding sustainability in the national curriculum
Much of the national curriculum has not been substantively or systematically reviewed for over eight years, and the DfE hasn’t yet committed to amending it to integrate the climate emergency and ecological crisis. A group of academics have been using a 'tracked changes' methodology, to show what a pro-environmental national curriculum in England could look like by suggesting where and how it can be amended (rather than adding content) to include sustainability and climate education. The project completed the review of the KS3 and GCSE curriculum in 2023, and we are delighted to share that the primary curriculum review is now also completed.
