Great video on unpacking, set up and use of the E propulsion Spirit. Very helpful. Great example of a mounting option with your Garmin Fishfinder. Are you pleased with the motor and run times? Can you provide a link on the tranducer mount you are using? I am looking at both the E propulsion Spirit and Garmin Fishfinder set ups you have. I have the identical Sea Eagle Fishskiff 16 for a year and intend on going beast mode with it this year. I am in the Cleveland, Ohio area. Thanks for the video and consideration of your comments and/or reply.

Thanks Robert. I am pleased with it, but at the same time, I think it is overpriced for what it is. I wanted to buy an external battery cable and battery extension cable + cowling and they quoted $425 + tax for two cables and a piece of plastic - something to keep in mind....... The link to the transducer is in the description of the video. Definitely, you will have tons of fun! I have limited space and Fishskiff is a real space saver!

With the cost of the motor and boat about 6300 bucks you could get a 12 foot aluminum jon boat with a more powerful gas engine as that electric is only 3 hp. Throw in a trailer for 2 grand and you dont have to go through the long process of setting up the boat and breaking it down. This boat has only about 11 feet of usable deck. But it certainly will do the job .

Nice boat! How slow can you troll with that motor? I primarily fish for Kokanee and they like the vicinity of 1.5 mph, and I had to wire in a cheap controller to get there with my inexpensive 24-lb thrust Watersnake motor for my kayak. Looking to get a bigger and faster inflatable for larger bodies of water and fishing with company, would prefer to keep things all-electric and a single motor if possible.

You control the power in linear way, so any speed is possible. Even 0.5mph

I just got mine, and I'll be getting a 9.9 as well. Do you use the cart or do you trailer it? I'm wondering at what point I should put the motor on and how easy or difficult it is to wheel it around with a 95lb motor on the back.
@Thunder_Buddy05877 ай бұрын
@slc12312 I used both until my trailer was stolen, I would recommend using a trailer tbh. Although the cart isn't as bad unless you have a steep boat ramp 😅 I have never towed with the 9.9 on, I don't think its worth the risk. I've always placed the engine on the transom right before launch. Good luck out on the water! #tightlines

Really really love your video. I'm just about to buy this thing and was looking for a complete set-up video. You made it, thanks a ton. If you don't mind I have a few questions. I see on amazon the pumps you purchased (and I will as well), but what exactly is the battery set-up? Any specific reason why you didn't decide to simply use your car charging ports? And how long does it take for it to be fully blown with those 2 pumps? Last question (if you have the answer don't go measure it please) how high are the seats with the bracings? Trying to make sure everything will fit.

Hey buddy, I'm buying this boat online and they're telling me that the EZ Cart Heavy Duty (wide) is not compatible with this boat, that I need a trailer. I just sent them your video in order to understand what you are using if it's not that (which seems like it is). Any info would be appreciated, thank you
@avoleoo7 ай бұрын
I can see why. if you use EZ Cart with an empty boat it will work, but once you add motor and all the stuff it becomes too heavy in some cases. If you plan using Torqeedo motor or 2.5hp gas motor with nothing heavy in the boat it will do fine. If you plan to use 6hp motor then it will be too heavy for the cart. I hope this helps.

I just purchased a Stiff 16 here in Boise Idaho. I have watched your set up several times, thanks. Was the inflatable keel added to the Fishskiff to keep it tracking straight unlike the paddleski at slow speeds with a trolling motor has to be corrected constantly to keep it in a straight line.

I was wondering about a trolling motor, if it was worth it considering the epropulsion might be able to do a similar job. What's your opinion? And where do you set it up? Seems difficult on the front unless you got some kind of crossboard. I think I've watched your video like 10 times in the past month. Thanks! 3 more weeks before I get mine here, can't wait. Looking to set it up right from the get-go. 🙂 Having ALL the trouble in the world trying to buy the epropulsion. No answer from dealers for past month, nothing from epropulsion website either... Really weird I tell ya, I may have to go with the torqueedo but I don't want that thing.

I really like my epropulsion but their support is known not to be the best. You can build a mount for the front and mount the trolling motor or talk to the Sea Eagle they also sell that solution.
