I agree! Keep it up the great work Wayne. We are a tad too north so we’re not likely to see each other on the water Chesapeake bay. TowBoatUS is a must have! Ethanol 🤨

Underrated channel. Excellent content. Have purchased my first boat with an old two stroke evinrude, but you have much more to offer. Thank you.

Thank you so much! Those old two strokes definitely have a learning curve and can be tricky. But when they're dialed in right - they are great. Just be sure not to choke or flood it when restarting after it's been running a while. Took me a while to learn that!

if and when you do the transom eliminate the drain plug. One less thing to worry about. I have done this on three of the boats I owned.

So in the winter, do you pump the sump dry before storing the boat? My cover is only a tarp, so I would worry about water accumulation in the winter months. I guess if it's shrink wrapped, or stored under a roof, it can stay dry in the winter.

The boat I have now is a hard cabin.My neighbor gave it to me because I am retired and had time to do floor,transom and stringers. No fun sanding and grinding glass!!!@@WayneTheBoatGuy

Not a bad video at all, but title isn't really accurate: "Launching Your Boat - Tips to be a boat ramp champ" made me think it was actually going to be about launching a boat at the ramp. Instead, it was a checklist of things to check on the boat before going out.

Wayne, great video! Dumb question, but have you ever heard of anyone using sealant tape on the threads of the drain plug since most if not all are pipe threaded...?
@WayneTheBoatGuy3 жыл бұрын
I haven't seen anyone do that - I imagine if the plug wasn't sealing well enough, it would help, but usually they seal just fine. A few drops of water getting by isn't a big deal.
