he is actually, trust me I have one of these, its a lot of programing and patience. The launchpad is a midi controller meaning it sends a signal to your computer and registers it if you have the right program, and if you program it right the signal, which is sent from pressing buttons, will make a set number of buttons light up and the computer will play the sample of music that you have made. If you still have doubts then look it up on how it works.

To people that is saying this is fake. It isn't, it's called a launchpad. "He's just using the original song and putting it in the video about him pressing random chords". No, he just used a simple version of it. The are many types of songs in launchpad. If you're a beginner you can choose a simpler and easier one. That's why some of the chords or pads he hits doesn't sync whit the song. Also he just forgot about verse 2 and some parts of the song. He skipped it because he was a beginner at that time. "Why is the camera shaking, random cuts?" The camera is shaking because of the vibration of him tapping the pads causing the camera stand to vibrate and make the camera shake. Also the random cuts where just him not perfectly hitting the pads at the perfect time. If you want more questions just learn how to use a launchpad. Besides, this video was uploaded August of 2016. He's better by now

Its not fake. The way it works is that portions of the song are bound to each key. When a key is pressed too late it will sound like a cut. Before saying things are fake do research on them.

For everybody saying its fake because of the music i believe its recorded with the computer and not with the camera mic or else it will be not clear so hear me clearly, you record the music then u insert it into the video.
