I'm sad that I did not see you live but will watch for you this week. Blue is my favourite colour so I was sooo delighted to see all your beautiful quilts. I have never tried foundation piecing or applique but you inspire me to try. I just read the article about you in the new American Patchwork and Quilting magazine, that's how I found your channel. Have a great week ahead!

Lovely quilts flower and stunning in all different ways. I love that you have shown so many different blue and white quilts, they remind me of the beautiful blue and white china that my friend Lynn collects. Those dainty 9 patches are just so cute but boy i don't think i would have the willingness of spirit to go on after making all of them, lol. You say that your birthday is around this time, well i got married on my papa's birthday, which is 4 days before his wife. He was the 19/1 and she 23/1, i never got the chance to know him and when i arranged my wedding it was because of the numbers. I got married on 19/1/1991 or 19/1/91 which is the same forwards as it is backwards. I hope that you had a wonderful day flower, even if it couldn't be spent quite as you would have liked. Thank you for sharing all these beautiful quilts with us and giving even us novices an idea to create. I would love to be able to do the applique, but i will at some point pick that skill up i hope. Sending you crafty hugs and keep safe wishes from Norah, Glenochil, Scotland Note to KZbin:- Come on KZbin. 16 adverts within a 28 minute slot is ridiculous. I know you have to get money in but you are going over the score with the amount of ads just because i can't afford the non ad price. Bang out of order and actually putting people of KZbin, not changing them into giving you more money. Greed, sheer greed.

I love it when you show us your quilts. Quite a few years ago, I do not remember how many years ago, but it was quite a while ago, I read an article about you, your husband's grandmother, and Laundry Baskets Quilts. It caught my because I love baskets, and store my quilts in them. I forget whether it was in the McCall's quilting magazine or Better Homes and Gardens quilt magazine, but I remember being so impressed by your talent and loving your quilts. I thought they were beautiful, but intimidating. Then I discovered your videos on KZbin. I have been quilting for about 45 years and have always been reluctant to try your quilts. But when I saw your videos , I started ordering a lot of your kits and sewing along with you. I have always run away from applique. Even though I started a Baltimore album quilt, I have never finished it. You have inspired me to go ahead and do applique. Your personal album quilt is phenomenal. It has inspired me to do one of my life and I'm going to use applique! 😀🙌During this pandemic, I have spent a lot of my salary on your kits.🤣😀 Thank you for sharing your talent. You are such an inspiration. I hope one day to attend one of your retreats. ❤😍

This is wonderful! Thank you for giving your time and inspiring us with your beautiful quilts and teaching us the techniques to be successful at making them for ourselves. I have learned so much from you already through your beautiful books, and your many tutorials. Hello from Colorado. I’m so happy to see that you have started this live section! I love your Patches of Blue book! It’s my all time favorite! And I have watched all your tutorials. I learned to quilt in the 1970’s with templates and marked seam lines and only hand quilting.. And I had a quilting business in the 80’s. The shift to template free quilting, cutting blocks to size, acceptance of machine quilting (so beautiful, I love it!), and all of these rulers was a big change for me and I have been following your tutorials to update my skills. So I appreciate your detailed instructions tremendously! I still have trouble using all these rulers and templates. Which one to use, which side (black or white) and cutting is a much harder process for me. I just sent your Let It Snow quilt off to my long arm quilter and am doing the Winter Village Quilt Along (my first). Thanks to your help the blocks are coming out exactly the correct size! 😀. I especially appreciate the simpler quilts with larger sizes although First Dance is calling to me!😅 Happy Birthday!

THANK YOU for doing this show, and for all you do to inspire us. What I love the most is how you incorporate different lights as backgrounds to add a gradient effect... you did it in the Aspen quilt and a couple others. It’s amazing and I love that so much- it takes a special eye to understand each detail like that!!!

I have to thank you so very much for sending my order before Christmas, Michael took my order and helped me with my questions. Despite all the COVID troubles and shipping to Vancouver Island, it arrived in just 2 weeks. I made the spools quilt kit and loved the linen look so much that I wanted some yardage and enjoyed and appreciated the quilt tutorial you posted starting in the early stages of COVID. I printed them all as they were posted but because I worked in a medical clinic throughout and was not home to commit the time to that project yet. Thank you for the inspiration, your families dedication and giving some gifts in times when there is so many without jobs or health.🎶🐋🐳🐚🦦🏔 Thank you and kudos to you from Vancouver Island, by the way, I love the giant spool of aurifil thread! I just watched an old post about y seams with fat quarter shop. I am attempting some hexagon blocks and am trying to figure out how to press and connect. I will send you a picture, this could be another tutorial..

The remaining quilts may or may not have patterns for them (they are not in the book), they are just a few of my favorite blue quilts that I wanted to share for quilters to enjoy. This was our first live, and we will be sure to clarify during the videos if the quilt has a patterns and what it is called.
