Vex - tries to convince the person into re-joining their side by applying forceful language just BARLEY shy of calling the person an idiot. Trying to out-logic the person, not realizing logic and emotion generally don't work together. Jester - Tries to at least ensure the person still cares about her and was ultimately trying to do the right thing, because that's all that matters to her. Imogen - accepts the status quo and cuts ties/attachment immediately because the emotions are too overwhelming to handle at that moment. Basically needs a break to get her thoughts straight.

I've dm'ed a lot of DND and while none of my players are at her level of acting (while some of them play like the most coordinated swat team in the world) I find from personal experience that you, in those moment you're shitting gold you don't think "what would my character do?" no you just.. Do it. You feel it. We had this particular session I'll never forget, there was a lot of infighting in the group due to very good reasons and I decided to just do what any good DM would do. Shut up and watch. They where quite literally raising their voices and they sure as shit looked angry and upset. After it was over and one character was dead and the rest went their separate ways and the campaign ended, it didnt even take a minute until everyone just looked around and no one was upset, they where just damn proud of being able to just let go and let it run its course because that is how it would have ended. I think it is practice mostly, and being able to understand and feel others so hard you can reflect it and just shut down your brain and let it happen.

@@NateCarolus419 I like that you took the time to look up the textbook definition of misogyny but it's not gonna cut it. The tactic of invalidating a more emotional response as something irrational and illogical is often deployed by men to validate women's arguments, reactions or reasonings. They are made out to be "hysterical", "uncontrollable" and "too emotional " A woman as an affected person is obviously going to be more aware of when this is happening than someone who has never had to deal with this. I just read the comment you're talking about (since then more like that one have popped up btw) and yikes. to be honest, I think the "you lied" scene is kinda stupid... Darling, you can literally read minds. If she was lying there would be something to find there; and if she was not lying, there would be something to be found there as well. But but but I also think it's a "it makes sense" kinda stupid. She was way too affected by that little rock, so her decision and emotions are out of whack when it comes to things involving it. She is not a stupid character in general.
@frumpkins71552 жыл бұрын
I think it's more about the fact that Laudna assured her she was safe, while she wasn't. I don't think Imogen blames Laudna for what happened, but more for saying it'll be okay in her hands. After all with cursed objects the moment the object is destroyed the person isn't magically attached to it as much anymore, so I really don't think it was about the crystal.
@ANMCHunter2 жыл бұрын
While she in deed can read minds, Imogen also usually tries really hard not to read peoples mind, especially her friends, without permission. And as was already said, Laudna assured her the gem would be safe with her and she would only check. And them also being close friends and companions of great trust I can see how in the moment Imogen would think Laudna lied to her. Though I'm sure after a good nights sleep Imogen will know that Laudna didn't in lie.
@romxxii2 жыл бұрын
Laudna _wasn't_ lying. _She_ didn't break the gnarlrock, _Delilah_ did. I think that brings up a scarier plot point: Imogen can't sense Delilah's thoughts from within Laudna. It's possible she's not _in_ Laudna's head at all.
@zolove_2 жыл бұрын
Imogen’s mind at that point was obviously clouded, the crystal has been proven to do things to her. Did you see the way she looked at Laudna when she first saw the crystal was broken? 7:30 Death stare (That was definitely not her), then you see her control herself a little and pull back. She didn’t care what actually happened, all she knew was Laudna said it would be safe and now it’s shattered.
@johnfolmer54122 жыл бұрын
Do remember that was probably less of a well thought out response and more of a in the moment emotional response that Laura chose for maximum potential drama. They're all writing a story together and in that moment that's what Laura thought would be the most interesting response, and how they handle it from there on will be interesting to see.

The recent one wasn’t betrayal. Idc what Laura’s fine acting says. It would’ve been betrayal if laudna through the stone off the ship or at the very least dropping it like any smart person would. It also wouldn’t be meda gaming either, because Imogen is aware of Delilah and knows that she communicates with laudna and is logically the reason she is alive. She also knows laudna isn’t friendly with her patron either. Therefore, when laudna starts screaming her name and reaching for Imogen for help. She’s knows it wasn’t laudna’s faults at that point. Nuff said
@zolove_2 жыл бұрын
What was “You lied” about then? If Imogen understood from the start that it was Delilah she wouldn’t of looked at her in the way she did when she saw the crystal was broken. Yes it wasn’t a betrayal to us because we knew exactly what was going on but it was to Imogen in that moment because she didn’t know. Yes she might if figured it out later but she never talks about it.
@MorinehtarTheBlue2 жыл бұрын
That's really it. Appearances and emotional versus logical. I'm sure Imogen could have worked it out but there is also a degree of addiction there. The other thing is that it's not over. Unlike the other two campaigns where we know the resolution Laudna and Imogen haven't yet talked about it. Though there was that moment during the ship fight where Imogen did pull away from Laudna. Still there is a whole campaign to deal with it. How it will play out is still yet to be.
@wyattfrye82622 жыл бұрын
@@zolove_ she knew what was going on or would’ve figured out really easily what was happening. My friend is reaching for me and asking me to help her as she is clearly not in control of her actions and the other entity is doing something. So as to why she said “you lied”, that’s because, of the script Laura and marisha were following. Marisha as usual fucked it up by having laudna scream and reach for imogen so that’s what that is
@zolove_2 жыл бұрын
@@wyattfrye8262 So you know 100% it was scripted? What proves that it is? :/
@wyattfrye82622 жыл бұрын
@@zolove_ Marisha for some strange reason holds it tighter rather then throwing it off the ship or dropping it. Now if if I was her and my patron, who I’m not friendly with, says “she’s going to take care of this”. I would assume something bad would happen and get rid of that stone as soon as that was said not “Matt I hold it tighter”. Obviously how dare I challenge Marisha’s intellect so I will put that on this script she was told behind the scenes. Same thing goes for Laura. Now she did play the scene beautifully when she needs to be someone that has their addictive substance taken away from them. However, Marisha cucks up by having Laudna scream her name and reaching for her. That shows that this was not laudna’s fault, it was Delilah who Imogen is aware of. Bertrand Bell was a walking script follower as soon as he showed up. Dorian’s brother becoming more and more incompetent to set up Robbie’s leave as “naturally” as possible. So there’s my proof of the a very vague script being floated around this season
