Laura-Jane Grace is an inspiration to me and I wouldn't have come out at nearly the time I did if it weren't for how she put herself out there. Love you, girl!

You must live a sad exsistance, that you have to talk shit about people, IDK why, did you not get enough attention as a child and hurting people makes you feel bigger? You would probably be more happy if you stop being a piece of shit.attempting to hurt people for no reason doesn't make you funny or look cool.makes you look like a loser. Only bully's like people like you.👎

Great to see these topics being discussed by a high profile media outlet, but it's a shame that Laura Jane didn't get more of a look-in here. I'm not trying to negate what Paris has to say at all, but she seems to have forgotten that she's meant to be interviewing someone, or at least having a conversation with them; she frequently goes on off on lengthy monologues and ends with non sequiturs as often as actual questions. Hmm.
@TeriLynn92310 жыл бұрын
I've noticed that too. Like when Laura asked her about the first album she bought. Did she really have to go into the story about being in sex work? She could have just said the name of the album. I think Paris wants to be a rock star herself. Don't get me wrong, I do like her but yes, I think she'd rather be the subject of the interview.

I've noticed this happen a lot in interviews with Laura. If anyone else is set up to be talking, they drown her out. She might be a quiet or reserved type in real life, or she carefully calculates what she wants to say, and in the pauses people take advantage of that. I hate watching interviews with her unless its just her talking alone for that reason.

So Paris's voice changed but Laura's didn't?
@JC-yy8iv7 жыл бұрын
No. Estrogen does not affect the vocal chords. Testosterone does (hence male puberty, and the slight deepening of women's voices during puberty is also due to testosterone) Paris just talks like that. LJ has been screaming onstage 100-200 nights a year for over a decade, ya know? And also she has made a choice not to speak differently from how she did before. Paris may have sounded like this even when she appeared to be a gay man-- I certainly know gay men who sound more or less like her.
@craftingweirdo64985 жыл бұрын
@@JC-yy8iv Maybe she had vocal chord surgery. But I guess grace doesn´t change it because it is her whole carrer
@JC-yy8iv5 жыл бұрын
@@craftingweirdo6498 I don't mean to be rude but that surgery just doesn't exist. There's no way for trans women to change our voices except to simply talk differently. In Laura's case, she has said that when she first transitioned she took some vocal coaching to speak differently, but when she used this coached voice, her friends and family thought it was like talking to a stranger, so she went back to using her normal voice.
@craftingweirdo64985 жыл бұрын
@@JC-yy8iv Mhm interesting. How did my best friend get it then? *just wondering* Please don´t take it too serious. But this surgery exists, but is pretty risky. You can loose your voice or have your vocal cords sound like mickey mouse. This exists in Asia and I am not sure if it does in western countries because of the health risks. The surgery is called voice feminization laryngoplasty.
