Laura´s Bicycle Sidecar

This week I build a sidecar for my bike!
I had support from Lincoln Electric for the build - thanks guys!!

I like to use my bike as much as i can so i decided to build a sidecar that allows me to transport lumber and bigger cargo with my bike.
i can also stack these pallet frames on it so i can take sumdo on the road :)

Hey Laura, cool project! Just a little traffic safety recommendation: I would put a little orange childrens bike flag to the cart, so drivers who can't see the sidecart are alerted to the fact that something is there which usually isn't there;) Especially if you're having smudo ride along.

Love it! I have transported so much wood with my bike - you can't imagine how much i would have appreciated such a sidecar, because the stock is often long or even bulky.

A very useful addition to your bike. A couple of my neighbours here in Chiang Mai (middle-aged ladies), use such an arrangement as their daily vehicle, for errands, going to market etc. The younger one pedals while the older one sits much like Smudo and enjoys the experience. It's amazing how irregular shaped objects and lengthy ones can fit in a sidecar, but won't fit in the modern family car. Very practical for short to medium journeys and avoids Gym fees.

Wow, Laura! The sidecar is magnificent! I love the eye nuts for strapping your cargo down. I love the minimalism. And more than anything, I love the collapsible doglet-transporter crates!
