This week i built a Coffee Table from Oak and a piece of my Work Table Top.
Thank you Rockler for sponsoring this Video!
www.rockler.com/taper-straight...
I wanted to reuse this piece because it`s been exactly one year since i started to work for myself and there a traces from almost every project i did on this Table Top...
This is my first time doing a mortise and tenon joint like this.
This technique is quite easy and makes an incredible strong joint.
The little turning blocks i made to connect the table top to the base is something i saw on a really old table and it is a very simple jet super handy way to make a connection that is reversable.
i hope you enjoyed this video, let me know what you think in the comments.
Music by Brian Storm.

As an engineer, I really appreciate depth in design of your projects. I find myself fascinated by the integration of simple yet completely overlooked design aspects. For example, you integrated a picture frame style fastener for holding the top onto the frame, whilst also allowing it to be easily removed. I'm anxious for more videos. Thanks for the inspiration.

As an amateur with woodworker, i typically feel overpowered with the entire arrangement kzbin.infoUgkxrYREG3-7f1Aqk9ams3ZESRNzGnfdUtyQ . Be that as it may, this arrangements drove me through with much clarity and effortlessness woodplans. Works i now work like a genius. That is great!

Hi Laura from Olympia Washington USA. I just was watching you on This Old House Makers Channel. You were trying to build a lightweight attractive stable collapsible table. I had an idea. The plywood that locked in the legs was the thinner piece of wood. I think if that was thicker and the dado you cut was wider, the legs would be more sturdy. You are amazing! I just hope this suggestion helps you. Keep doing what you are doing. You inspire me.
