Well done Laura 👏 I agree our bodies were made to move and movement is medicine. When we get injured or feel pain fear is what stops us.. or some of us. A strong body is very important as we age.. as Laura said we lose muscle mass as we age. The old saying if you don’t use it you lose it. and it’s never too late to start strengthening. Some people may need a little more support than Laura, I know I did . Happy Sunday everyone. ❤

Thank you, Laura and Dan! At last I see someone with arthritis, not in her twenties, so I can really relate to this story! So many people, even in the medical system, tell you: "Look into your birth certificate! What do you expect at this age! It is normal to have pain." So it is considered normal that age hurts. Also that one's body is damaged forever. Sooooo big thanks! 🤗

Thanks Laura and Dan for this wonderful interview!!! It really showed to me that I can apply all the tools I have learned from you Dan not only to my sensations all over my body but also to my artritis 🎉🎉 which is great news!!! As Laura puts it “ hello goodbye “. Yeahhhh being older doesn’t mean you need to hurt !!!!!! ❤❤ Thanks Laura for your true transformational story !!!

This is really encouraging, Thankyou to you both. I have just recovered from CFS using Dan’s approach and then 2.5 weeks ago injured myself doing arm balances in power yoga. The pain was extreme the first two weeks keeping me up at night. It’s started to get a little better with time until today my GP rang with MRI results stating that I have a “severe” impingement on cervical root nerve due to “disc extrusion”. He urged me to go to the ED and get linked with a neurosurgeon. Conversely, the physiotherapist (who has a calm relaxed approach) thinks that the injury will most likely heal naturally over time and that surgery is an over kill. It’s hard not to feel fear when the doctor suggests the worst, but I really don’t want surgery. I believe that if I can calm my mind and create safety the pain can dissipate and the inflammation will naturally resolve. This video has demonstrated that one can have structural abnormalities (even severe ones) and still have full function of the limb and no pain!! Dan, I might have to join your coaching group again to help me with this one. It’s uncanny that I sustained this injury right after my energy troubles resolved!

Thanks Laura for sharing your success story so enthusiastically which is proof you are a true success story. Am 10 years less than you and am using a wheeling chair to get around. Its swollen knee , bone on bone knee pain and ankle and shoulder arm pain or frozen shoulders all on the left side. For the last few months the right leg stop walking. Because i believes it is TMS i didn't go to a doctor. The right leg moves normally on the bed or sitting but its not walking. So i started tonight 2:30am listening to your story and tried walking. Yes painful but am determined to keep going You inspired me to start walking tonight/this morning. Thanks Dan for everything. Bahamas 🌹

Great success story, Laura! Your story puts my last fear to rest. My only doubt has been arthritis in my right hip - that doubt has been steadily evaporating and your experience add more conviction that it’s a normal abnormality and the pain is coming from my fear. ❤❤

Wow Laura, so inspiring. Gonna take your response and use it. Re painkillers I am so fearful of meds. Can scrape a bit of a paracetamol tablet across my teeth. Pain subsides! Doctor basically laughed saying thats nit enough drug for your weight! So definitely psychosomatic in my case. Loved the dog story too. Partner bone on bone, experts said strengthen the muscles above and below. It worked. Super stressful day, arguing with two old friends, this time I spoke my truth, wasn't prepared to be treated like what was happening. Afterwards tsunami of adrenaline then lots of pain. Driving home through a crazy spot for me, a motorbike accident, I was trapped in my head trying to figure how i could get away, numerous police cars etc. I managed to sit it out, u.turn rerouted. This video excellent. Thank you both

How do you respond to people who tell you, “oh yes, that is the power of positive thinking”.. it is more than that - it is understanding what’s going on in your brain, and then the thinking comes. People sKip this stage.

Dan, I have a question for you and not sure if you have an answer or suggestion (it is unrelated to this video). I suffer from migraine and headaches and few other alliemennts viewed as tms. The question is about migraine and headache and my facial pain. Apparently I do have bruxism and I clench my teeth at night. Sometimes I wake up and my teeth are sore and my facial muscles are painful. As a result I get really bed head pain. In context if the tms how to apply this concept? It looks like I clench during my sleep which is out of my control. Is my migraine or headache still tms? Or is it a physical problem?

Would you recommend to someone over 80, who is considering back surgery, to embrace this approach? A prominent surgeon has told them they will dramatically lose mobility without back reconstruction.
