Laura Great that you have learned at a young age, before too much long term damage is accumulated, that over work and the constant pressure of a big city is toxic to your body and destructive to your creative mind. I have found that yoga and meditation, which I have done regularly twice daily for over 1/2 a century now, have allowed me to age more slowly and grow more quickly. Even though I am now more resilient to environmental stress I prefer to avoid living in big cities. I still like to be fairly close by because of the economic opportunities but far enough outside the city that I am not run down it. A beautiful stress free satellite community is a wonderful place from which to orbit a bustling metropolis. Heal, enjoy, evolve. You deserve it. And keep sharing your journey. It is important work. 🙏

It's amazing to see all these Westerners discovering Bali in 2024. I was lucky enough to grow up in Jakarta back in the 80s. Expat kid. Bali was a GEM in 1988 - 1994. Ubud was a jungle back then. Kuta was a village. Crazy how Bali has grown up as time moves on. Wonderful memories.

Healthy? They routinely burn plastic to dispose of it, studies of Balinese children show high levels of toxic chemicals in their blood. They pump raw sewerage into the ocean Plastic rubbish everywhere and food and hygiene standards do not exist. Take care.
