I was pondering leaving during the pandemic. I was still working, but remotely. The VERY day I decided to call my employer and quite, they called me that morning and laid me off. Boom, the very next day I was gone! I had been considering moving out the country (again) so I had been saving money like crazy. Everything just worked out.
@Nomadically_Bri3 күн бұрын
Tracy! That is totally crazy! Ok so, quick story time. When I was about to quit my job in 2022 to take a chance on myself to be a full time entrepreneur as a realtor, it got to the point right before I left that it was OBVIOUS it was time to go. To the point where I had to remind myself of what I prayed for and that was "God, I am ready for my next season". So when things kept falling apart, He reminded me that "sometimes, life is not working against you, but rather I am putting things into place BASED on what you asked and beleived me for!" So, I humbled myself and let life happen only to realize that things were shifting in such a way that would open doors and create a trail for me to experience what I am doing now. I say all of that to say, EVERYTHING works together for your good and when it doesn't make sense, trust and believe that what we may see as unfortunate, could actually be setting us up for our next! Thank you for sharing sis! I hope this video was helpful for you and if you come this way, PLEASE do not hesitate to reach out so we can do brunch one day!!! 💜💜💜💚😍🙏

I took a 2 month "sabatical" and went to Bali for 2 months last year after being severely burnt out from my 9-5 over the last few years. Gosh was it amazing! It was definitely different from other vacation destinations, but it was healing for the soul, especially Ubud and the villages around it. I made and painted batik cloth, made coconut oil with a local family, went to a silver jewelery making class with locals, went up Mount Batur to watch the sunrise atop of the mountain, visited temples, coffee plantations to hear their stories and taste their coffees and teas, visited rice terraces, met amazing people at a women's only wellness retreat called Arya Wellness where we got free breakfast, massages, and mani/pedis everyday..toured some of the neighboring islands like Gili T, Gili Maino and Nusa Lembongan.. i soaked it all in and did ALL the things, and it was awesome!! 90 days after coming back to my 9-5, I quit my job and went to Mexico for a month. I'll probably do Mexico for 3 months next year with no set return date. Good for you, girl!!!! I dont even know you, but you look like your soul is at peace. Enjoyyyyy! New subbie now ❤

Some of the things you listed are actually on my bucket list so when I partake, I hope to see you around in the comments for your feedback! Your experience sounds fulfilling which I hope to enjoy as well. Please come back so we can hang out! LOL How did you love Mexico? I have yet to go as Bali is only 2nd country I've been to outside of the states aside from Guatemala. I also live in south east Asia. Good going on what you are doing. You will find in your journeys that even $650 is expensive. There is a town in eastern Java, literally a 30 minute boat ride from the top of Bali called bangyuangi that you would have genuine indo lifestyle without the 2 week millionaires for next to nothing. I’m in Thailand and it’s a matter of finding somewhere that’s not inundated with tourism, otherwise go and live in Florida. Very interesting vlog. I’ve travelled to 110 countries now and watching you was exciting. You are like a puppy Labrador that is so invested in your new journey. It’s a courageous decision to drop tools and spin your life where none of your mates are. Go for it Bri. I’d be happy to talk to you about some encounters you will have on your journey. Good luck. @@Nomadically_Bri I went to Bali exactly one year ago during the Christmas and New Year's holiday. For some background, my friend and I are both from Europe. She decided to go on a Bali trip with her 17-year-old daughter, and I went along. I found the trip to be really relaxing and adventurous at the same time. However, my friend didn’t like it at all. She thought the locals were dirty, the air quality was poor, and she was disappointed with the variety of food. I think her experience was mainly because she stayed in the worst area of Bali, Kuta. The 4-star hotel she booked was literally next to a shopping mall. In my opinion, you need to be flexible and have a positive mindset to enjoy Bali. Unfortunately, she stayed only in the Kuta area and didn’t want to explore other places, even though taxi rides are very cheap. During my trip, I stayed in Seminyak, Ubud, Sidemen, Munduk, and Sanur. My favorite place was Sidemen. People say it’s what Ubud used to be, very quiet and you're surround by rice fields and the jungle. Knowing how affordable Bali can be, I’d definitely go back. If I were to do anything differently, I’d get a driver’s permit so I could ride a motorbike, especially in Sidemen, where everything is hilly and walking isn’t very practical.

Congratulations on your big move!✨️🎉 You look so happy. Yes, letting go can be so hard but it's so worth it! Bali is one of our favorite places, We are currently living in Thailand but look forward to going back to Bali for a while. I agree with you about Canggu. It has gotten so popular that it is now so congested. The last time we were in Bali this summer, we were in Canggu for a bit and it was sooo loud!! Its too congested. I don’t think I'll be staying in Canggu. We left and stayed in Kuta and it was 10x better. Especially since we had our baby boy. Kuta and other surrounding areas are also more family friendly. Wishing you all the best on this new journey of living abroad, especially in Bali. You are gonna LOVE it. Be sure to check out the mall by the beach near Kuta and also Finns Day Club since you are in Canggu ✨️

Heeeyyy!!! Thanks for watching sis! How are you liking Thailand?? I plan to visit sometime in 2025, just not sure when. And yes, Canguu is toooo congested and way too crowded/touristy for me. I wanted more of a local feel to which I ended up in Denpensar as the rice feild villa I had in Ubud had WAY too many bugs lol!! Are you talking about Beachwalk mall? I liked it but I LOVEEE Icon Bali Mall in Sanur. It's such a vibe and a place I will frequent for regular weekend fun lol. What are something you would recommend I do when I come to Thailand?!?!?

@Nomadically_Bri11 күн бұрын
@@Elevatedlivingat49 hi there beautiful! Thanks for watching and for the kind words! I found if you just type the area you want to move to and then the words expat, you find a lot of groups. For example, “Canggu expats”, “Ubud Expats”. For this particular villa though, i found it in “Ubud Rental Community” on Facebook! 💕💕🥰
@Elevatedlivingat499 күн бұрын
@ thank you for your response! What would you suggest to spend more time researching ? Do you have to spend a required amount of days there before you can go to your next destination? I’m also interested in your story of the move being a god thing..how did he lead you to go here? It seems many women are feeling this calling of separation for a spiritual awakening. Does this resonate with you? hope your day is beautiful. 😊🌺
@Nomadically_Bri9 күн бұрын
@ yessss! Definitely resonates! My biggest thing is that I just want to be obedient to what God shows me to do and where to go. I want to fulfill everything he has for me in my life. In terms of how long you can stay, when you first get to Bali, you will get a 30 day visa on arrival unless you get your visa before you come like I did. Mine is good for one year. Otherwise, you will have to leave the country after your 30 days is up unless you extend your visa. You’re not restricted to staying here for a certain period of time, but you are only permitted to stay for as long as your temporary visa is good for and then you have to leave the country. I would recommend spending time researching different areas and towns as well as the types of villas that would make you feel would be most comfortable for the lifestyle you want and considering pricing etc.

@@hughes8107 hi there! Thank you so much for watching and your kind words. I really appreciate it!! The weather is not hot versus cold, but more so wet versus dry. We are currently in rainy season, which means it rains very consistently if not every day, then a few times a week. I do speak about that in my upcoming Christmas Vlog! depending on where you live, you may fight with bugs in your villa/apartment, but of course there is mosquito spray, regular bug spray, and your typical pest control.
