Love the Tala Vera sacarro. I'd be careful someone might take it. I'd put it in the backyard. I've had plants stolen from my front yard.

My only "fear" if I put in an installation as beautiful as this one, is that the Talavera Pottery pieces would disappear in a blink of an eye from the roving bands of tweakers who ride their bikes & take things at night! I almost bought one from Home Depot a few weeks ago & decided to put it back on the shelf. This installation is in the neighborhood that was on the list when we were searching for homes in Chula Vista! The home prices were just too high for us, so we headed north instead! Cheaper prices, yet much colder winters!!!

Love the work! Really sets that property apart from the rest in the neighborhood...too bad no fence...what if animals run through the garden? The tapestry is absolutely gorgeous!

Hey Laura - when you put comments up it would be really helpful if you list the plants you've used in the installation. When it's a plant I've not heard of - my guessing at how it's spelled is not that great! :| Thank you! Please keep posting - you're such an inspiration! :)

We’ll be moving to Albuquerque New Mexico soon and I want my yard like this. Do you have any suggestions on plants that I should look for and those to stay away from?
@LauraEubanks5 жыл бұрын
Amy C. Step one will be to get a lock on your planting zone and microclimates. Check out what’s working in your neighbors yard. Check with your local nursery for advice as well. Best of luck on your move! Check in with me once you settle in😊

Laura, I live in Florida, zone 9A. I have not been unable to find any large specimen plants. Most of the succulents I find are 3" - 6". Do you have a recommendation on where I can buy large plants?

The radio link mics admittedly preclude the extra step of marrying the audio to the video in post production but they're well-known for being unreliable. The Pluraleyes software from RedGiant makes that post-production step super easy, pro video guys use that, never shut up about it. Ever wonder why Hollywood uses those "ready, action..!" placard thingies with the little guillotine arm that swings down and makes a "snap" noise? That's to make a video event along with a sharp audio event, which will show up in post production with a tall spike visible on the audio line. You drag that big peak to where you see the arm chopping down on the video, then you're good. But Pluraleyes does that for you. Most people who switch over to finally doing it that way feel silly they've put it off. But somehow nearly everyone doesn't want to switch. Sorta like dieting.
