Walkabout Wednesday | Succulent Garden Tour - July 2024

It’s been a minute….
Thank you all for your loving kindness as we grieve the loss of Bentley the Succulent Dog.
He was such an important part of our lives and our succulent community.
The Eubanks’ have endured a number of losses and close calls over the last couple of months.
I’m ready to find my footing and create a new normal at the start of this new season of life.
You all mean the world to me.

I cried when I heard about Bentley and again today when I heard your voice as you told of all your losses. You are always so upbeat and positive so I realize how difficult all of this has been for you. I wish I was nearby to come over and work side by side with you in your garden. I know how to clean up detritus. No talking necessary just a presence of someone who cares is very healing. Maybe your friends and family will show up to do that for you. I know once you can bring yourself to start cleaning, it will be healing for you. My mom passed a way feb of 2023 and it was very sudden. We always look forward to doing things together she was like one of us girls I love talking to her and I miss her so. Perhaps you might consider inviting Captain Jack & Jose Cuervo to be in attendance and host a private garden party for your crew? Laura, you are so brave to come back to making your walkabout Wednesday given all you are handling right now. I can’t imagine that many losses at once. I’ve told you how I feel about losing a dog, it’s a real heartbreaker for me. Losing your brother and friends as well, that’s really sad. I’m so sorry. I think our plants are a nice diversion for us, I know it is for me. Unfortunately, I’m in this triple digit consecutive days weather in Vegas and almost all my succulents are toast. We average 106°, but my son is in Palm Desert and they are in the teens consecutive days. Too bad I didn’t get into succulents when I lived in San Diego. I went out on Amazon and got a pink witch after I saw yours, it lasted only about a week.
