Yay! You're looking at the description!! I'm happy these are meaningful. I think the history stories are so important and, I don't know about you, but I got so little of it when I started learning (and I didn't even know enough to ask!)

so touched by your channel, really wanna know what shoes you are wearing…or how do you deal with the underside of shoes~hope for your reply~thank you very very much

Hey, thank you! I'm not sure about the brand of shoe (I have to go through my son's room to get to the closet and he's sleeping) but they were just random shoes on sale at DSW. Honestly, I prefer to dance in something more slippery than those, but they look so good in the video. I almost always put suede / dance leather on the bottom of my shoes and glue it on with barge cement. Works so well and the leather generally outlasts the shoe. I'll do a video on it sometime so you can see.

This routine is so awesome, thanks for teaching it! If you were dancing it to "Rock-A-Bye Basie," would you start with the swivels right at the beginning of the song? I searched for people doing this routine online and they all seem to be kind of doing their own intro for the first chorus, maybe because the actual song intro is super short. What would you do?

Yeah, I found the same when I searched for video performances. In class with Norma, we started right after the piano intro, when the horns come in with the melody.

"I'm shy and thought she was scary" - hard relate. Regretting not speaking to her when I had the chance.
