Exactly what I was about to write! Sometimes the 'silly little ideas' (in no way an insult/criticism) lead to some wonderful products that we now wouldn't live without. I really enjoyed watching it happen. I think the quick-release tool hanger especially has some real potential.

I love how the "silly" is the sign of success of the project. This is exactly how I feel about best things - they should be on the edge between crazy and ingenious and can't be too serious. This silliness is what distinguishes us from corporate product drones that create things of minimal value that are cheapest to make.

I already have a seatbelt tool harness, I built it a few years back, It lets me take a load of tools up a ladder, to a roof top. And then quickly drop everything except what I need in the moment. This set up has saved me countless numbers of trips up and down a ladder. I work on cars too, so the seat belt latches and belts made perfect sense. and it was all free..just time but I love to sew

@shauni833 жыл бұрын
Actually, the huge array might have been the Problem. Laura limited herself to only this one object, and discovered it from a lot of angles. What is it's superpower? How does it work? What is a side effect? And then she thought about problems she wanted to solve. And then she did rapid prototyping. This is really the 101 in creativity!

Having the “dock unit” on the bench with the “clip” attached to a vacuum/dust hose. It would either keep the tail away and not snag when breaking down sheet material or to hold the end near where you are drilling or something on the table…
@theonetrueanthonylong18432 жыл бұрын
Thats a solid idea. I would imagine the only benefit would be to use the same vacc hose on multiple machines and would require some type of ceiling mounted positioning arm to support the hose, but that would be fantastic in a medium sized shop. Great idea!

I once but some flexible ropes one by one to such a belt holder and with this I secured a lot of things: my basked after shopping food, my tools in a box , heavy big or little things that were in a sac and several chairs I had to transport in my car, too! That thing I had for over 25 years, through the ropes I slided a long rope to hold and secure things from 2 cm to 1,5 m around. To firm them with my seat belt without damaging it by the materials of the helped to hold my seat belt in best form. I made others for several friends of mine. Nowadays I secure my wheelchair in my car. These little things can make the difference. Be blessed!

Hammers, Wrenches, pliers, punches... Wherever tool have a lot of metal (Fe) and magnetic fields are not an issue... magnetic bars are the name of the game to profficiently hang it. Parkside's magnetic bars sold by LIDL cost little (around 3€) and definitely work great horizontal also as a 3 way shelf ( e.g. with sockets) or vertical whatever space allow to put it (e.g. inside a closet door).
