DEDICATED TO THE ALL OF THE KHMER ARTISTS OF THIS GENERATION.
SPONSORED BY SONY MDR. MUSIC DESERVES RESPECT.
Friends and fans, it is my pleasure to bring you this music video in time for Khmer New Year. Madizone Tmey is an original song by me produced in the genre of Madizone music. My only wish for this song is that when all of you hear it, wherever you hear it, you get up and get on a dancefloor because it's definitely meant to make you shake it while dancing the Madizone! The Madizone in my eyes is is a Cambodian phenomenon, taken from an American movie in the 60s, but honored forevermore and never forgotten by Khmers everywhere, the Madizone is an example of the incredible ability for Khmer people to honor artistic culture, absorb it, and make it our own in the spirit of pure and innocent fun. In this video, I take a step into the future specifically because I want all Khmers to reflect upon the period we live in now, and the fact that art is slowly returning to life. I believe our vibrant artistic culture is on its way back more than ever, and this gives us all a great reason to celebrate with pride and hope for this Khmer New Year of 2015.
First and foremost, I must give so much thanks to my amazing sponsor, Sony MDR! I am so pleased to be the new Sony Brand Ambassador and so excited to align with a company that believes that MUSIC DESERVES RESPECT!I need to give thanks to Dreamtouch Production for their incredible hard work on this project, seeing it through to the end no matter how crazy things got. I want to thank also Cambodian Living Arts, the National Circus School, Super K, and every artist that participated in this music video. Thank you for contributing your artwork so fully and with power, you are what gives me so much hope in this modern day. I want to thank Caitlyn Decker, Monika Tailors, and Kaitlyn Telge for helping me to build this powerful look and giving me nothing but magical performance powers because of how good I felt in it. Finally, I would like to thank the star of my video, little miss Keo Kristal, an incredible artist who is only 4 years old and has the highest work ethic I have ever witnessed for such a young person. Kristal, your future is very bright, keep shining. You give me so much hope for the future, the new Khmer generation of artists.
HAPPY KHMER NEW YEAR
