The Navet Dam is one of the major reservoirs supplying potable water in Trinidad and Tobago. It is located in Tabaquite, Trinidad and Tobago and is managed by the Water and Sewerage Authority of Trinidad and Tobago. The dam was completed in 1962, expanded in 1966 and 1976. It supplies Rio Claro, Tableland, Biche, Princes Town, Williams Ville, Borde Narve.
The Navet Dam covers an area of 3.24 km² (800 acres) and has a capacity of 18,200,000 cubic metres (4,000 million imperial gallons). It supplies 86.4 m³ per day.

First time ever, I took a drive to the Navet Dam and I was really blown away. For those of you who have visited before, please comment and let me know what your experience was like.
I was told that people even camp out there for the Easter Weekend.
Be sure to know that the road is really bad, and it's better to go with a more stable vehicle (van, mini truck, truck etc.)

Fun fact. That spillway y'all seeing there where the water is flowing over, without all that bush it's really a beautiful sight. You see the true nature if the small dam and the vast expanse of water. We go there a lot to fish and camp out.

Wow ! that's a cool place and glad no one skated down on the slippery parts Lol !! So many neat places to explore in TnT, hopefully things settle out and you both can go on many more road trips. The vivid green foliage is so amazing looking, I do hope the raw beauty of the island stays intact. Ian is quite the chef !! Steaks looked yummy. Try flour, eggs and panko in that order the next time you're frying shrimp, the panko gives it a great crunch.
