The name "Something In The Water" just makes me think of that summer they kept promoting Degrassi with that song "maybe there's a shark in the water" on repeat 😅

Love and Other Words is incredible, not only was the angst so incredibly gripping and heartbreaking, it is SO incredibly well written which is often difficult to find in romance books. So so so good. Thanks for mentioning! ☀💗🌴 I have a random summer rec just for you. If you liked the TSITP series, can I please suggest 99 Days by Katie Cotugno?

I havent read Life's Too Short but I will soon! I read the friend zone and I'm currently reading the Happy Ever After Playlist and I think reading the friend zone was needed to give book 2 more depth and understanding of the main character

Here I am in Australia going into winter ❄️ 🥶🧣🧤what books would you recommend for winter?
@pomsandbooks Жыл бұрын
Okay I have to rant since you guys also read the Summer I Turned Pretty series in middle school. There are all these people in their 20s giving these books bad reviews, and I’m like, ITS BECAUSE YOU’RE READING THESE AT THE WRONG AGE!!! These books are meant to be read (at least for the first time) when you are in middle school! I just feel like all these adults are ruining it because they don’t like that the main girl acts like a teenager!! When you are 12 years old and on summer vacation reading these books by the pool, they are everything!! Okay I’m done ranting 🤣
@laurandareads Жыл бұрын
Yes definitely!!! Everyone reading it for the first time now aren’t liking it because it’s YA 😭
@davancerda Жыл бұрын
Idk I’m a ya lover and I listened to the first book when I was 19 ( last year) and I found more than just Belly irritating.

After reading happenstance from Tessa Bailey I kind of don’t want to read It happened one summer. I hope there is no much sexual graphic content.
@laurandareads Жыл бұрын
Her books definitely have a lot of that!! Her cartoon covers are known for being very spicy books
@LourdesEsmeralda Жыл бұрын
@@laurandareads This was my first book 📖 I read of hers, and I DNFed it, I couldn’t handle the foursome, the graphic sexual details. For my taste this was a mess, no character development, over exaggerated! Please tell me that IT HAPPENED ON SUMMER doesn’t have that! Otherwise, it’ll be DNF for sure.
@laurenslibrary3971 Жыл бұрын
@@LourdesEsmeralda “Happenstance” was just a goofy, fun project for her and is not her typical story development. I actually DNF’d it too, but have really enjoyed her traditionally published books. “It happened one summer” is lovely! However, all of her books do have mature sexual content/smut. This particular book, I would say, is pretty spicy.
