Another snake mom here to agree that Electra is not currently being well taken care of :( Red lamp is a definite no-go - it could potentially burn her, it makes her environment less humid, and it doesn't give her anywhere to get away if she gets too hot. She needs a heating pad under one portion of her tank, preferably attached to a digital thermostat. Tank is way too small, and she needs more enrichment and hiding places. Humidity should be being monitored, especially since she's obviously about to shed. The top of the tank should be weighted down - she's a decent size and all muscle, more than capable of getting out. I hope someone who knows about snakes sees her and can maybe politely let the owner know about these issues.

So glad I read your comment and you said this I don’t know why a lot more people aren’t saying something. It absolutely broke my heart to see her in that tank and to know that she is used solely for a prop. A snake (all animals) deserve a happy and healthy life as a loved pet. Not a prop.

My dog, WITHOUT FAIL, will drink literally all his water every time we ask him if he has to go outside to go potty. We legit will be standing at the back door and he psychs us out every time by coming towards the door, but then makes a 30 degree turn towards the water bowl to chug like a college frat boy with a keg. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Girl. Right off the bat, the longer the videos the better. Idk why people think shorter videos are better? I’d much rather have all my favorite creators post hour long videos, and if I need to, I’ll break it up and watch it on different days. But usually I save the videos for when I really need a pick-me-up, so for me, the long videos get me through the hard times.

Snake mom here: I feel very sorry for that snake, she is clearly very stressed and about to shed (her eyes are greyed out). Her tank needs WAY more clutter (they like to hide and she cannot sufficiently hide under that half log - ball pythons are a really scaredy breed), that red light needs to GTFO, and I'm not sure what the humidity is like where you are, but the bedding more than likely needs to be changed - loose shed everywhere in her tank indicates that she cannot shed properly (should all be in one piece). Poor Elektra :( Re: white thing - its called a Urate - essentially urine, its not always liquid for snakes! :)

Watching the Vlog I could tell that was not the tank for the snake was not the best and I knew in the comments there would be a great snake mom to confirm. So reading Your comment broke my heart for the snake. It’s really upsetting that this snake seems like it’s solely for picture taking. Electra is not a prop and is a pet and an animal that deserves a real healthy and happy life. I hope better for Elektra.
