My father was 7 when this was released. Until the day he died Laurel and Hardy were always his favourite comedy duo. One of the favourite lines I remember is Hardy in company he wanted to depart from telling Laurel to call him a cab. He said this about 3 times and Laurel wasn't sure how to deal with it. Finally Hardy got ill tempered and said to Laurel, "Well don't just stand there, call me a cab!" So Laurel finally says to Hardy, "You're a cab."

For anyone who comments negatively about the black face. They went black face because they escaped from prison and were hiding from the law in a field of black people picking cotton. The black face in this situation was not intended then and is not intended now as racist. Earlier in the movie, it is seen how the black people accept they're runaways and are completely fine with the black face. Oliver, who was a very good singer in his own right, sat on the porch with everyone and belted out a beautiful song and if I recall correctly the other black singers around him joined in. The black face was never meant to be racist in this situation. Al Jolson's black face was racist, this was not. In any case, this movie was made in a different era, just enjoy the comedy and loosen up.

Stan et ollie sont irrésistibles et irremplaçables je passe depuis 57 ans de passions pour le duo toujours des grand moments de bonheurs a regardé leurs oeuvres. La le film pardon us 1931 et laurel et hardy sous les verrous titre pour la france de 1931 pour les productions hall roach est un film très divertissant. Ceci dit le film dans les années 50 et 60 le film fut rallongé par plusieurs bout de courts métrages pour rallongé le film pour ça rexploitation .

I think Chicken Soup For The Soul Entertainment (who currently owns the rights to Laurel & Hardy films such as "Pardon Us") should probably put up a warning saying that "the following film was made in the year 1931 and may contain instances of very harmful stereotypes and prejudices" and that "the film will be presented as originally created". If Warner Bros. and Disney can have content warnings for some of their films, why not Chicken Soup For The Soul?
