This was Thelma Todd and Zazu Pitts best short together. And the cameo at the end of Laurel and Hardy was a great payoff . If you haven’t seen this short, I highly suggest jet check it out. 😂

I disagree though , they resemble more like a female Martin & Lewis. Thelma Todd could sing in real life and was good looking just like Dean Martin. Pitts was the one overlooked in terms of beauty and always needed to be babysat by her partner just like Jerry Lewis.

The original lady comedy duo...those that followed who were on a regular basis were like Lucy and Ethel, Lavern and Shirley. maybe Rhonda and Mary, Thelma Todd worked with Charley Chase, but even more important with the Marx Brothers in two films Horse Feathers and Monkey Business. ad she lived think she would have been a bigger star like Carole Lombard and Jean Harlow, both of whom these ladies had their lives cut short as well.

They did appear, and if you actually read the post it is billed as "On the Loose (1931), Thelma Todd, Zasu Pitts, Laurel and Hardy, Pre Code Comedy Short. The actual film credits ( 00:16 ) show Zasu Pitts / Thelma Todd (Pitts was a 'bigger name' than Todd at the time), the title (On The Loose), then "with John Loder, Claud Allister, William Gilbert". There is absolutely no mention of Mr. Laurel nor Mr. Hardy in the film credits. What, again, was your petty complaint? Do you also complain if given free dessert after a meal?

We had our version of CI here in AUstralia called Luna Park. There was one right on the shoreline of North Sydney right next to the Harbour Bridge and another in Melbourne. Absolutely loved it as a kid. We had everything in this movie. there was also a ride that spun so fast you stuck to the wall and the floor dropped away. There was also a house that when you entered, you sat down on a bench and the house rotated around you. From outside, as the house rolled upside down there was an enormous spider underneath. I remember the penny arcade and the ghost train. SO much fun just catching the ferry from Circular Queue (we pronounced it "Kee") Sadly multistory apartments have been built next to it and the eternally and eagerly offended have complained about the noise. Double glazing might solve that but not stupid whingers.

@@-oiiio-3993 There was a mention of L and H in the title of the video on KZbin and saying that I was disappointed that they didn't have bigger parts shouldn't be hard to understand since they were so much fun to watch in anything they were in. I never mentioned the movie credits. Laurel and Hardy were mentioned in the title on YT, as I already noted. Apparently this struck a nerve and triggered something in you and by the way, though I am currently on a diet, I never complain about free desserts.
