You are too cute, Laurel, with the things you were saying as you did the demo. I like that foiling technique and how you did the design. You don't have to worry about your coloring because it's just fine and as far as the yellow and pink bird goes--you can plead artistic license and anything goes with that. ; )

Laurel, foiling is another technique that I haven't got into as yet. I have seen a few demonstrators create projects with this technique but as yet have not gone down that road myself. Obviously there are a few bits of equipment that is necessary to be able to foil and so in my case I think I may not take up this area of crafting just yet. (But its really pretty on your project Laurel) Thank you though for demonstrating this technique to us crafters, it is perhaps something I might try out in the future. :O)

You can foil without heat, which means without machines. I've got a video up somewhere here showing how!

You can always put down double-sided adhesive--like Scor Tape--and stick your foil to that. No heat/machines required! Just stick, burnish carefully with your finger, and lift up the foil "backing"--easy peasy. You could probably also do shapes, if you can manage to die cut or hand cut your adhesive. HTH! :)

These techniques are awesome and I really (REALLY!!) wish I'd seen some of these less expensive techniques before I asked Santa to bring me a MINC 2 Christmas' ago. Live and learn, huh? If you want to blend the markers you go over the dark with the light and add more dark and then go over the whole thing with light again. It works for me. You just aren't using enough ink. My question for you is which stamp pads are copic friendly?

This made me laugh, you stick to watercoloring because it’s easier. I too buy all the right this like the entire Daniel Smith palette and it didn’t make me a water colorist AT! ALL! 😂
