I don't think that's how it works. The trolls made the beta human universe, the beta humans scratched and finished stuff up in the alpha human's session. The actual universe that was made is made entirely from stuff from the beta human session: Beta PM and Jack's rings, Jade's volcano, Jade's frog, beta skia. On paper this is simply a beta human victory, not a combination of different universes. They just had help from people that happened to come from different universes.

I'm well aware that the Credits for Homestuck are a thing that exists and I have recorded a React for it, but for some reason Hussie seems to know when I'm at my busiest so It might be a day or two until it's on the channel!

Homestuck has always been a weird thing. So I don't think it's out of place to feel that the ending is weird. The lack of twists is a twist in of itself. I don't think it's wrong to have expected more, but at the same time it delivered more or less everything expected of it. To answer some of the questions remaining: The theory I like for Gamzee's fate was the blast from Jack English sent him into Caliborn's universe. I think for Cantown it's because of the ectobiology machinery in the meteor we saw got the population off the ground. As for the Prospit Royals I thought they died because of the condense and Jack English. For an epilogue I'd love to get some answers as to what exactly happened with the ghosts and trolls still in the Dream Bubbles fighting Lord English. I'm pretty sure completing the game rendering the kids immune to his rampages since that universe will give rise to Caliborn in the first place preventing his entrance again. Also I'd love to know a bit more about how some of the unshown classes and aspects work.

Hey Jen, don't feel bad. I've enjoyed your videos, and I hope you continue to make some. Think on the ending. It may seem abrupt or even disappointing, but I think it is really deep. I don't want to say too much on it for fear of putting my foot in my mouth, but interpret it as you will, and read up on others' interpretations. Regardless of interpretations though, we saw a glimpse of their future. It's… happy. (Oh and if you're really worried about Eridan, there's at least one dream bubble Eridan that is happy and even thinks he's still alive!… and with Shrek apparently… Redemption?… shrug)

With regards to the Lord English fight, it's easy to surmise what happened: A giant cue ball, pushed by a giant pool stick hits Lord English into the black hole. Cause he's the eight ball. The cue ball could be alt-Dave's essence.

Lemme tell you a lil' story Thing is, 4/13 is actually my birthday too. So when that day came, I went to MSPA and checked, and there it was: Motherfrickfrackling ACT 7. But when I got to the very end, right when John was about to open the door, and then everything suddenly disappeared into a white light, I was both confused (since I didn't read most of Homestuck) and disappointed. And since I used to get kinda salty over things like that, I was like "WTF HUSSIE WHAT KINDA BIRTHDAY GIFT IS THIS REEEEEEEEEE" 😅 But then one day, I read from someone that it was simply just a flash-forward, and I felt relieved So yeah

To be honest, I feel like Hussie is pulling ANOTHER Problem sleuth. If you don't know what happened, it goes something like this: Hussie posted a disappointing ending, everyone was pissed, etc. Then, a week later he posts a freaking Epilogue that is exactly what we wanted. Part of the reason this flash failed, to me, is that Hussie was trying to get his creation myth story across, that had been formated wayyy back in 2013 and even before Homestuck, into the end of the comic. It would have been fine if it included character development, and perhaps a clear sign of what actually happened besides "Welp, make it up for yourself." I would much rather accept that explanation that Hussie has this all planned out rather than the second one, which is that Hussie backpedaled as soon as he saw the negative backlash and began working on the Epilogue. I also don't think the Epilogue will take too too long, hopefully, because we mostly want 100 or so pages of dialog and standard MSPA art to explain WTF is going on. We got the big production flashes out of the way, so it's perfectly fine for him to go back to the artstyle he used to produce consistent updates.

+cheeseduderocks Why not go back to where the story continues? I mean, the story of Caliborn goes right on towards the Masterpiece, and explains what happens "after the end." It even explicitly states that. If you were to truly make sense of the plot, you must of think of it in a non-linear fashion. Act 7 only showed us what happens in the Furthest Ring, in the New Earth, and in Caliborn's session as to how exactly he got his rainbow powers. The heavy emphasis on alternate timelines leads to a dualistic thinking. Yes, they had their happy ending, and we got to see it. But they also went back, to finish the job with John's retcon powers. The black holes in Collide show us how Gamzee got into Caliborn's session, as well as the crowbar and Yaldabaoth himself, who originally was inside of Dirk's planet (which was partially sucked in.) The mounds of green building material of the tombs also account for the amount of Statues of Liberty strewn about everywhere by Hussie's robot. See, everything makes sense! Plus we wouldn't have a proper Homestuck game without a final battle with Lord English, would we? A weakened, mortal one, sucked beyond the boundaries of space and time itself, essentially out of the webcomic entirely. This is all so easy to see. It loops around itself, and ends in the video game. This is also hinted at as the means of which the four heroes will appear in the game too. And Vriska and the trolls, they all got sucked out of the comic! It's not entirely obvious just what or how Calliope did all of this, but the symbolism and implication is all there. It ends, in the game.

Nekrodemon Game-construct-created black holes are the gateway to the Dead session. If his planet needed to be imported, so would the Denizen that winds up inside it. Certainly Yaldabaoth wasn't always inside of Earth the whole time, right? The in-canon explanation that it only manifests for the greatest of warriors is an assumption made by the characters. It's shown up for Dirk, and it's shown up for Caliborn. It was in Caliborn's session because it got sucked in to the black hole. As was the crowbar, and Gamzee. You really should read Problem Sleuth if you want to know more about how the MSPAverse treats black holes, as well as the supplementary material for the scientific explanations behind what happens in Problem Sleuth. Seriously, the Hawking radiation principle is there to explain how all these end-game black holes could partially be responsible for these split timeline shenanigans as well. Everyone getting sucked in is how the alternate-canon stuff is enabled in the first place, by token of the house-juju's inevitable reset alone. It was specifically designed to not be easy to answer, but the material is all there. The game is really just a formality, not a "DLC." Who would want a Homestuck-based game if it didn't involve itself somehow with Homestuck? This is the easiest way to both wrap up the timeline shenanigans and tie everyone's favorite characters into the game. Otherwise, what more could the game tell us about the grander universe? Saying the game has little to do with the comic as possible also falls under the verity questionable of "done in 2014" and "TOG won't embezzle us for King's Quest." The game is for the fans. The fans want beta kids, trolls, and to finally beat Lord English. There is no in-story purpose for the house juju, other than to take main characters and put them someplace else. Which means its purpose is to bring the characters out of the story proper. An excuse to put them in the video game. The stuff that can be solved, has. The stuff that is still a total mystery and not yet explained in canon, is what we are waiting on. Like, how the cue ball was made, and what in-universe means it would have other than pure symbolism. Is it made from Skaia? Was there ever an alchemy page where it was made? These are things the game was meant to solve. If you are not smart enough to put the pieces of the puzzle together yourself, you do not deserve a happy ending.

That Welsh Sword decapitated that Jack, killing a hard-wired immortal character with infinite power. That then collapsed into a black hole, taking several vital and out-of-place items/characters with it. This is how the crowbar completes its required existential loop to qualify as a juju, at a very minimum. 4) How could you not pick these up if you've read enough to know what Aranea says on this matter? Did you skim? 5)The game is already paid for, and was written four years ago, "developing assets in parallel" as stated by Hussie. It has been common knowledge for YEARS that the game would be tied into the comic inexorably, since its end was on the horizon, before any of its delays. Nothing as "meta" as Homestuck could ever have its canon contained to just the comic. Especially not one whose "mission statement" was to go batshit insane in ways you cannot even imagine. If everything in Homestuck were explained IN the comic, there wouldn't be any room left for new, relevant things in the video game. It would just be an ascended fanfic with no relevance to the plot. And to boot, if that backstory were put into the comic instead, it would take another two years to draw and write it all anyway. The game's been in the works for so long, longer than the ending itself, that it would be inconceivable not to have put those minor, secondary bits of origin lore and story and background about how stuff works into the game instead. Hussie chose explicitly from the start which to leave out and which to put in the game as the story allowed. Further, an epilogue is not necessary because the story has its epilogues thrown into the middle. They are intertwined. You've already seen the whole story, and how the children's lives end and how Lord English has begun. You're pissed because you can't think in four dimensions, and that the best literary epic of the 21st century should all be in one volume, in order, with no deviance in plot and no mystery. Hussie has already written all of it. The rest of it that he wrote, he included in the game. I have full confidence that those that got sucked out of the breach in the Furthest Ring will make at least a cameo appearance in some fashion, as the whole comic led up to it. Being able to finish what you've started (the comic started through player input) is much more a factor of closure than simply seeing the end. It was the community which started off John in his bedroom, telling him to put arms in the cake and to shit on his desk. It would be a crime for anyone BUT you, the player to finish off Lord English. This is not Mass Effect 3. That is stupid. Stupid stupid dumb. You did NOT pay for the webcomic. You did pay for the game. The game will stand on its own, but will inevitably have some sort of transuniversal breach caused by that breakdown of the Furthest Ring which puts all those cliffhangered characters in your game. There's no reason not to. That Cherub technology which causes the Hiveswap in question pretty much guarantees the crossover. We still also haven't seen how the cue balls get to where they need to be. If they come from the broken God Tier clocks, how were they sent? When? Even with time travel and the Furthest Ring, how does one get one of Scratch's "seeds" to where it needs to be? Plus what about that frog? No, THAT frog. The white one that finished the sequence and was sendificated to Earth in the past. Who made, or even sent, that? Who had time or resources for that? Not the trolls, or else they would have made B perfect. It can't have been sent from a non-alpha timeline because that breaks the rules of paradoxification and undermines the science of ectobiology. Was it from Calliope?? There is so much unexplained Weird Plot Shit that it's impossible for the game to NOT have them. No matter your objections, the game was written and funded long ago. Complaining about it now is just a formality. The shitty twist is already here. 0u0

+MysteryMachineX Most people are assuming that the black hole(that was the green sun) is going to swallow the entirety of the furthest ring(or at least the parts within the cracks made by lord English) which would include most of the dream bubbles. Meaning vriska,Aradia,Sollux, and all the ghosts are dead (forever) and lord English is trapped inside the black hole(because his immortality is still there even without his first guardian powers so it's not like he's any easier to kill it was just easier to pocket the 8 ball.

She was successful in breeding their new frog, kept inside an 8-ball. It fell into the Forge sometime in Act 6, on screen. There was a whole yammer on about how Echidna wouldn't release it until something worthy had been done. I think it was Evil Dog Jade who said it.

Erik Satie's "Gymnopedie no. 1", because it is so calm. Also Erik "Jit" Scheele's "Unlabeled" took inspiration from it so, Homestuck tie-in.

Ah, there is a very similar, if not identical, piece from MOTHER 3 called Leder's Gymnopedie. Since homestuck pulls some noticeable inspiration from the MOTHER series, I thought that may be where you had found it.

Ya know, in the long run this really has been the perfect ending to Homestuck. A product made from the advise of the original creator that is that fits its purpose, but is ultimately lacking in the soul it originally came with and leaves you dissatisfied.
