I'm really proud of Lauren, and it's amazing how people say she's not unique. I don't think people shouldn't talk about Lauren in that way when they can't do any better. She's an amazing singer, and there's no doubt about that.

I think a lot of people have tried to explain why Scott and Lauren managed to be the finalists. The major voters for the show are teenagers, and Lauren is actually the most average teenage American girl who sits at home raiding the ice cream while dreaming of a prom night looking like Lauren in the song. AI is a popularity contest. Winning doesn't really mean much. The teenage voters are too young to realize the real talents who can make a mark in music. We have to accept that fact.

JLo's comment 'nothing to judge' says it all, if Haley had come up with that kind of performance then they would have absolutely and deservedly trashed her. I'm pretty sure she knew herself that it was a struggle, so many iffy notes

I liked Haley to the point of voting for her multiple times, but for her Fans to come on this video and say Lauren is nothing special and hate on this wonderful performance really upset me and make me doesn't want to vote for Haley anymore...

@Quincyincy Noticing people's nuances is one of the things that I'm good at... I can tell immediately from speaking with someone for only a few moments what type of individual they are... now of course... no, I've not spoken to her, but body language speaks louder than words... and when tears are in all the "safe" contestants eyes but hers... says a lot about her... not "crying" is one thing... but "smiling" when someone else gets sent packing is pathetic... you don't look close enough...

No doubt, Lauren's got a gorgeous voice. And it's great for what she sings. But her voice isn't really unique in my opinion. But that doesn't mean she's not talented. I personally prefer Haley over both finalists, but I'd love to see Lauren win out of her and Scotty.

@DeEzriel Haley never "rolls her eyes" at the judges if you ask me she takes a lot of crap from them, she may say like " I thought this one would be good" but she never does that obviously you don't watch american idol then. Just because she's better than the other doesn't mean you have to be bitching about her. And she does not smirk either her face says thank god I'm safe, and Oh my god a girl stands up for herself and is called a brat.

@Quincyincy and by "rolling her eyes" I meant "disrespectful" eye movements in general... if you watch her critiques (and I'll agree sometimes I don't agree with the judges praise of some songs and disgust over others) she looks to the left and bites her tongue instead of listening to people who've made millions off of music and are trying to help her... as a musician, I can appreciate constructive criticism, but there are tactful ways of dealing with it when it's wrong and she doesn't know how

Lauren will have a recording contract... but as far as Hailey is concerned... no matter how much more "power, control, range, etc." she may have (up for debate)... none of it matters to people like me because she acts like an immature little douchebag. Every time she's given advice she just rolls her eyes or says comments back to the judges, and every time somebody gets voted off she just smirks like a little brat... for me... that takes away any "star" power she has.

The high note is like just part of the song.....without its sort of like there was no high point of the performance so it was kind of boring. Haley all the way

Sorry this was all over the place. She can sing somewhere in all that but it's like she couldn't make up her mind how to sing it so she tried several different styles in one short performance - as a result none of it worked. There were some really abrupt changes and wierd goings on in it. Very odd. SHe looks like she's got no confidence or something.

I just don't think she's that good. Haley has way more power, control and range. There's a million singers like this. It's nothing special. She'll definitely get a country deal regardless, she's just not unique.
