True. We pay our taxes. The government earns interest on all of our combined tax money. They keep the interest earned and we get back a portion of our taxes in refunds. This amount accrues until we retire. This is one of the ways our government makes money on our taxes. You don't need a business degree to understand this. Millions of hard working men and women pay our taxes. If Social Security gets cancelled? I'll take mine in $100 bills dating back to when I was 14 and compounded quarterly. When will we see our money in lieu of Social Security? We're waiting.😊

"Entitlement" is defined as "believing oneself to be inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment." "Inherently" is the key word here implying that one did not work and sacrifice to receive them. I was not privileged or receiving of special treatment. I WORKED since the age of 17. And in case you missed it, the repugnithugs have already made it a bad word and they use it as a cudgel to make Social Security recipients feel guilty for receiving what they worked for.
