This song has been a great comfort to me. My wife passed away three years ago . After that I began to have doubts if she was in Heaven, so I prayed for a sign. Two years after her death, a year ago now I had a dream that I still to this day remember completely. In the dream I was in a place that had to be heaven from the things I saw, and I saw Lynda, my wife. She was very young and saw me and came running toward me. I then woke up and cried. Now I know she is with the Lord. Amen.

Reminds me of a phone call I had in my dream state that seemed so real, after my father passed away and I missed his voice an talking to him so much, I actually ended the conversation which seemed like hours and when I awoke just shortly after I hung up, I knew not much, of our conversation, but that it actually happened. And that I was very happy to have that phone call from heaven.

My dog was hit by a car 3 days ago while I was doing my exam (online, at home). I was so shocked and went outside to saw her but it was too late bcause she was dead already. I missed her so much. Every night from then I listened to this song and tell God what I feel. And from this I think God wants me to learn that I shouldn't focus too much on things that I have on earth (bcause they're all just temporary). Instead, I should put my focus on Him. When I was young, we sang this hymn so much in church, especially on Sunday and Wednesday nights. And as a child, I learned the words, but I did not realize the spiritual depth and profoundness of the words, especially when seeing so many older people being moved by the meaning of their song. Then after becoming an adult and seeing the world through the eyes of a person who has experienced a lifetime, the words to this song have given me so much comfort and peace in knowing that Jesus is to Whom I turn and look to in all times: through happiness sorrow, the birth of children, grandchildren, and loved ones, and death of family members and loved ones.
