Now you need to see this same song from his Bastau concert when he was not sick. You can see the difference. One thing about Dimash, he can be sick and he is still going to go out and do his best. The Bastau performance of this song will blow you away.

I ‘feel’ the emotions more from this version. The Bastau performance was almost too ‘perfect’ for me to emotionally connect to the story & lyrics.

No, his voice wasn’t ok after that. He said that he felt like he had shredded glass in his throat when he sang, and he lost his voice when going off stage. Took a few weeks to recover fully…

Thank you for taking the time to react to this and understand the backstory. I heard that it took Dimash over a week after this to fully recover. At some of his concerts, Dimash has felt unwell but performed nonetheless, such as in London, and in Hong Kong I believe he was still recovering from sickness. Dimash also performed "Daybreak" at his Bastau concert, which is worth watching since he is able to give his all there. Here, he was limited, but he still delivered a spectacular performance. One of the singers on the same competition said that Dimash seemed mature beyond his years, as though he had already seen much in life. I think this was after Dimash sang "Daididau," which is a Kazakh song rooted in Kazakhstan's difficult past. Gloria Wu (the author of the video you just watched) has also made a backstory video for "Daididau," which Dimash performed on The Singer competition and at Bastau. Both versions are heartfelt, and since this song is very dear to Dimash's heart, I would recommend that you watch both performances. Thank you again for your reaction 🙏❤

Hi!, It's so hard not to cry with this song and you still have many songs left to surprise you, to have fun, to enjoy his unbelievable voice and to cry as well. The journey has just begun. Furthermore, Dimash conveys so much emotions because he puts all his incredible vocal technique at the service of the interpretation, and he's also a great actor. Daybreak's live version, with no problems in his voive, is even more stunning. Thank you once again for reacting to Dimash. Greetings and take care 👏👋

💚 I cried when I watched this same Gloria Wu video. But watching his 2017 Bastau concert (at which point he'd spent 14 weeks recovering) performance of it was an otherworldly experience. Afterwards he said he was glad he'd been perform it again to do the song justice, but had discovered it was too close to home for him to ever perform again. I urge you to react to that second, final performance of it. 💚

Love your reaction to Daybreak. Dimash is phenomenal. ❤ His time on The Singer was very special. That's where the world discovered him and his career path changed, from the horse's mouth. ❤ Autumn Strong is another beautiful and heartbreaking song from the same show. Gloria Wu put together even more info for the video. I think you should definitely watch that one too. Original song is in Japanese by Koji Tomaki. Dimash has done a Japanese version also but I love the Mandarin version just a tad more. They have different lyrics and to me, the flow of the Mandarin version is just absolutely beautiful. Maybe you can watch both in one video? 😂 kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIm0ZmuLYqqXmsksi=idLNek7FDgH4PJq0

I couldn't believe how well he sang in front of the crowd with his voice box in such bad shape. He's such a professional! It was only after I watched him sing the same song in Bastau that I realized there were several runs that he didn't sing in this performance. I think it would be awesome if you could react to THAT performance after you watch this one again, and see if you could note some of the differences. This shows that Dimash even at half strength is still one of the best vocalists in the world! kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJy9hX2ggdR3bJY

I am a Russian professional singer. Once upon a time, I worked in China for 3 years. One day my throat got very sore and my voice disappeared. The translator advised me to buy the drug at a pharmacy. After I took it, my voice was completely restored an hour later. China has very good medicine. Dimash had a hard time, but he coped with the difficulties. Well done!

The song is based on a real event. An accident that happened in China's Guizhou Province in October 1999. A group of people boarded a cable car, designed for 12 people, but carrying 36 improperly, fell to the ground down the mountainside upon return. 14 people died, among them a couple who, to save their two-year-old son, held him during the fall and threw him away from the device as it fell to the ground. The child was saved and went to an orphanage. That same year, Han Hong, a renowned composer and singer in China, learned the story, adopted the child and wrote this song to honor the sacrifice of his parents.

Fyi, the other contestants knew he was sick, so the concern on their faces were real. Dimash was the baby of the group, the youngest to compete (at the time) 22 yrs old. His voice was not great after that. Took a bit of time but if you watch episode 9, All By Myself, of the Singer, you'll see him flex those vocal chops that he couldn't do the episode before. As everyone else has written if you check out the Bastau version (it's on his channel) you can hear how I think he wanted to sing it. Crying is normal in these sad songs.

Yes Dimash at his worst is better than many singers best and it can be hard to tell until you hear enough and the signs are subtle. energy not quite as high as usual, little strain signs like neck tension that is almost never there. Thing is that he always gives everything, every time, he loves his dears as family and never ever wants to disappoint. We all love his performances and the incredible experiences that gives us but I have to say, for me anyway, the best thing about Dimash is his humanity.

Thank you for reacting to The Singer version first❤️. He was so sick and had a severe sore throat and fever. He lost his voice the night before his performance of Daybreak. I heard him say in an interview that it was very painful throughout the song, that his throat feels like shredded glass but he didn’t want to disappoint the people who stand behind him and so he pulled himself together and went on stage. He got 5 injections from this doctor in the hospital. And the doctor told him not to sing high notes. You can see how concerned the other competitors were and they suffered with him. They knew he was not doing well and one of them even gave him a very expensive Chinese medicine from his own inventory. The problem was his busy schedule between the performances and he didn’t have enough time to recover. He made very good friends there and many friendships still exist today. After the performance he lost his voice again. It’s unbelievable how he always manages to convey emotions to such a degree. Though I think in this one particular version the emotions he shows are mostly concern about his voice keeping up with the song and the pain he must have been in doing it. The Bastau version (no sore throat) of Daybreak is phenomenal and mind-blowing. So emotional and heartbreaking. Maybe you can do both together. Many reactors do and so you can see the difference between this two performances. In both versions I always cry my eyes out. I don’t know why I have to cry more. Because of the story or the fact, that he was in such pain and performed anyway because he didn’t want to disappoint the audience. Both version were in the same year 2017. Bastau version: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJy9hX2ggdR3bJY Greetings and love from Germany👋❤️

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than twelve(12) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. Dimash is from Kazakhstan. He was born in 1994 on May 24. His height is 192 cm . He has a higher musical education in classical and jazz vocals. And also engaged in martial arts and swimming. He never smoked, never drank alcohol, and never ate ice cream. His parents are also professional singers. He also has a younger sister and brother. Dimash became very widely known from the contest "I am a singer" which took place in China in 2017, where Dimash immediately took first place in fans all over the world with the song "SOS" performed by him. Dimash has a unique voice with a range of 8 octaves, incredible strength and purity of sound, and fantastic virtuosity of performance, where he can switch from octave to octave with amazing ease, as well as he performs all the songs with great artistry. All this makes him a unique and unsurpassed singer who has no equal in the world. He also composes music himself. The song "An Unforgettable Day", written by him as a teenager, was performed by him at a competition in China. Despite his very great popularity in the world, he continues to be a very modest and respectfully educated young man in life. Despite his ability to sing in a high voice, he is heterosexual. I offer you a list of links to his performances of songs. And the song "Stranger" is not a cover, it was specially written for Dimash by the composer Igor Krutoy, based on the poems of the American poet Sharon Vaughn. kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4OrpWBpa9GAbqc kzbin.info/www/bejne/noWtiWSvpp2Aa5o kzbin.info/www/bejne/ioHRpn2gaLx8pJI kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqOWoY2JidySa9E kzbin.info/www/bejne/a6bQqXqdpsSSpZY kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJ7ciKt7opWrgs0 kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5m8gmyJhqyrrZI kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2SndoyigrCkj6s kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5y0gYeulJeqqNE kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3zdfoebgaagmKM kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWrSgp14fq-EjZI kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4jIhmV5hNOVetE kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zqq2hnmIrJepmNU kzbin.info/www/bejne/iXaQpqJve91onMU kzbin.info/www/bejne/fnfdqoqZf6xqmLs kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqaVmGSVhZtjeNU kzbin.info/www/bejne/q2aViXefoctpaJo kzbin.info/www/bejne/jaPMaaCbZ8mHe5o kzbin.info/www/bejne/qom1Ynp5qLGHidk kzbin.info/www/bejne/rn2ogq2cprSSopI kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpyzhGmqbZmknZY kzbin.info/www/bejne/laqvqHqrh8Znj9U kzbin.info/www/bejne/joSXfaeVi5xmpJY kzbin.info/www/bejne/a2KlgGeErbGjpa8 kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2HcgGqJrp58mbs kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnPQZYqhl7JlpJI kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5bJeop8nalrl5Y kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqbKmqOjj7yFnNE kzbin.info/www/bejne/onfWc2h-i9OgiaM kzbin.info/www/bejne/o32qaZpopNR5iaM kzbin.info/www/bejne/bp6wXpWmarV1aZY kzbin.info/www/bejne/d4akg52braiHorM от kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipevgGRte7h3qNU kzbin.info/www/bejne/q5vEnot_qrGWfK8 kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWG8cn6fmNCaeKM kzbin.info/www/bejne/eYXNnqmigtOWoqcsi=-4BL9CobdrHycOJP

Maybe you should watch Han Hong sing it the year previously on "Singer 2016". She is spectacular too. And.. 😭😭😭 She wrote a truly beautiful gift for her adopted son. The man in the striped top who hugged Dimash as you managed to put the subtitles on 😂 is Jason Zhang. He and Dimash became good friends. Jason has a beautiful voice too. Quite a few songs in English.

It’s so difficult to watch this performance knowing how much pain he was in. From what I understand it took about 3 weeks for his voice to fully recover. To see a performance that is incredible, Daybreak at Bastau is so incredible. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJy9hX2ggdR3bJYsi=rEuhEcLqHdJSiZoL

I’m so glad you did the back story and this version first. You should definitely watch his Bastau version too. It’s beautiful and technically the more perfect version but this version is my personal favorite. I feel like the unique twist of fate that had him singing such a heart shredding song while in physical pain added an emotional element to it that made it that much more impactful. The perfection in the imperfection so to speak. The two performances are both exceptional and both are absolutely worth watching and you are totally doing them in the right order. Took me years of watching this song to be able to get through it without bawling and here I am tearing up again.

Please also react to my second favorite singer Dan Vasc. He is also classically trained like Dimash but actually a metal singer. His opera is as good as his metal . Check his I'll make a man out of you from the Disney film Mulan or Amazing grace in his way . And then his most phenomenal performance in Gethsemane from Jesus Christ superstar where he absolutely lives the role.

1: You indeed need to turn on the English subs. 2: Dimash was sick but did a jood job. 3: in his concert later that year he was not sick and did a much better job, check out his Bastou version: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJy9hX2ggdR3bJY

Yes Dimash a a soft spoken, respectful, humble young man who loves his family and he loves his Dears, he calls us Dears because we are so dear to him as his family. Although, after the injections to his throat helped, his voice wasnt fully restored here. You need to watch his performance of this song from his 2017 Bastau concert. It will blow your mind compketely and have you in floods oftears. This is the first song Dimash performed in Chinese. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJy9hX2ggdR3bJYsi=AxGc_1lwNkIZevEo
